  • Yeah, I knew there were a couple of exceptions but I couldn't be bothered to google them. Wonder why that is. Was Battersea renamed or something? I guess Crystal Palace was not part of London when they formed them maybe?

    SW11 Battersea
    SW12 Balham
    SW13 Barnes
    SW14 Mortlake
    SW15 Putney
    SW16 Streatham
    SW17 Tooting
    SW18 Wandsworth
    SW19 Wimbledon

SW19 also includes the area of Merton, but is / was served by the Wimbledon Sorting Office.

The point is that people get hung up on postcodes, rigidly defining the area from its postcode, whereas the demographic, social, economic & political reality is more complicated. Eg N1 includes prosperous Barnsbury, disadvantaged Hoxton & is in both the boroughs of Hackney & Islington.

  • Fuckin' ell, it's like going back two and half years...Phil getting into a little beef on here, just a different audience. Phil, please put your old avatar back up, I'm enjoying the nostalgia.

Just listened to the radio 4 thing about the Brixton riots, Darcus prattling on, etc. Maybe you need to catch up out east...

Has anyone called EEI a pussyhole yet? I quite like it as an insult...

  • N1 includes prosperous Barnsbury, disadvantaged Hoxton & is in both the boroughs of Hackney & Islington.

The only way Hoxton is disadvantaged is that no-one living there can carry anything worth stealing in the pockets of their ridiculous minstrel pants.

have you actually ever been there? take your minstrel pants further north than the macbeth and it is not far off a slum. who's seen the hoxton whistler? long haired junkie dude who walks around whistling a good 'un

  • Darcus howe was in streatham sainsburys last night

  • Darcus Malorkus? Now there's a man who likes himself.

  • Darcus howe was in streatham sainsburys last night

    I heard he's a bambaclat...

Also, last two pages... WTF?!?!?!? It's all gone a bit chicken oriental over in east London, innit? :$

  • Just leave it. Walk away.

Did you mean there were no SE's between SE1 & SE11? Sorry if I have misunderstood.
    Blackheath = SE3
    Eltham = SE8

  • Sorry, Eltham = SE9

  • i'm in se10 which is west greenwich

  • mans get capped for dat blud

  • 'llow dat I go deptford bridge dlr anytime I like blud

  • except if it's shut or they're doing maintenance work.

  • any other time I'm there though. no word of a lie. trust.

  • I used to live in Deptford. About 25 years ago or slightly more, the High Street was a somewhat dangerous area to wander into at night. Now, art galleries.

  • London crime map shows that De Beauvoir has "average" reported crime figures, but the area around Shoreditch is "high", as is the area around Dalston.

I love this map. Westminster is high. Most of Hackney average.

  • 'llow dat I go deptford bridge dlr anytime I like blud

do excuse me, i was referring to the post by blockhead.

stonehedge lives just off it which means it's still probably dodgy as fuck. he's a wrong'un and no mistake.

  • westminster is rated high because of all them thieving pussyholes in the houses of parliament

  • My point exactly. All those posh fuckers moving to London from their country estates, raising the crime rates. We need to do something about it, really.

  • westminster is rated high because it's full of grasses

  • I love this map. Westminster is high. Most of Hackney average.

You have to toggle the crime types to get a decent picture. Wealthy areas will have a higher incidence of reporting of minor offences, as the people living there tolerate less antisocial behaviour. Similarly they get targeted disporportonately for burglaries and suchlike. if you toggle to violent crimes, you get a different picture sometimes - and certainly, you have to account for the amount of crime that results from people going out and getting pissed. I reckon the high crime rating of a lot of the City of London is down to that.

  • westminster is rated high because it's full of grasses

That's cos of the Royal Parks innit.
