Here's my DB 01 Durga, built up earlier this year with a Super Stock BZ.
Also have a DF03 and a BB01 on the way from Tamico (been stuck in the UK delivery centre for a week).Only got into this last year after not being able to afford one as a kid.

Love a pan racer. 😎👌
That is chain drive no?

Chain drive, yeh. I’ve been thinking how to protect the chassis with frame tape. Merge the two hobbies!

Oh that's cool. What are the dimensions of that body, inc wheelbase?
I don't know yet if I'll be speedrunning this... I might just put some very pretty Kyosho electronics in it, and send it round the house (wood floors everywhere) every so often!

Er. I'll have to get me ruler out...
TBF I would keep that Phantom as a Concours also. 😎

I have one. (Turnigy) For peace of mind I guess.
Not had an incident yet. (*touches wood)
I heard that when they get puffy its time to think about replacing safely.

The boychild has asked for an RC rally car for his 5th birthday. Anything ready made out there that is fun to drive, rugged and age appropriate?

I would check out Tomley RC on YouTube. He reviews a lot of Ready To Run cars and is a rally fan... I am pretty sure there'll be something reviewed on his channel that fits the bill.
If it doesn't need to be a rally car, have a look at the 1/10th HPI Maverick RTRs, or the 1/16th Traxxas RTRs.

On the face of it, these look relatively high performance, but mum or dad can turn the throttle down on the transmitter.

OK, so the wheelbase is 20cm.
Body is 30cm without alu skid pan.

Tomley reviewed this lancia delta and really liked it:
Theres a kind of pickup version of the same that's pretty cool looking.
Edit: just saw 5 year old - maybe one for dad instead ;)
