  • Now this is amusing, where is this assumption based? Is it another van assumption?

By the way it was 20 miles round trip for a drink. Dread to think what is to go to easts but think west was the furthest drnks I've been to. Oh and done the grandslam too.

So your accuracy/judgement is very very wrong.

You claim to have cycled to Brighton AND BACK, not once but TWICE at the weekend, that's around 240miles, not bad for someone who has only just started cycling and drives a van to LFGSS functions
You had your name on the London - Brighton Ride, bigged yourself up for 2 weeks then never turned up, yet strangely you decided to go on your own and back, TWICE!

You're a liar now fuck off you sexpest and stop PMing and texting girls off here!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • I'm prepared to believe he did a 240 mile weekend, if I see some evidence. Anecdotal will do. A brief ride report. I've done Brighton and back enough times, but never on consecutive days, as I'm not a century specialist. Interested to know how it went/how long it took to recover/any salient tips…

Apparently it's easy if you stop in Ditchling for 2 hours and have a cup of tea and two scones beforehand

Stick headphones, comfortable safety glasses and go for it. Edit Once you leave the M25 it does seem to get quicker, but that most likely is set in to a pace.

The difference from doing the cyclechat organised night ride is the speed, less breaks and waiting for people. Seems better in the light than the dark, as you see more of the surroundings such as pretty cars on driveways especially during the lovely weather we just had.

The break in Ditchling is mostly the reason for the ride and sort of the trade off for doing it all, the ice cream is a bonus.

Edit -Sometimes motivation is the issue the other rides I had quicker people than me to chase chat to bu with out that there is does get more difficult I'd say that why I go for the headphones and cake route.

  • Why did you decide to go on your own yet you had your name on the list? Why not join in with the forum and the ride, have a great day out and get to meet some ace people?

I reckon you just simply wet the bed and didn't wanna get left behind cos you can't ride a bike properly. Warm?

  • PS Going to brighton and back again on the bike, weather dependent tomorrow, want to come along?

I've just realised that his post says on the bike, not on the cycle.

No wonder. He could do Brighton and back all day long if not actually bicycling.

  • stop it guys this is nonsense

  • stop it guys lynx talks nonsense

    I know mate

  • lynx, don't get me wrong. I'm not having a go at you. Its just that I find Pisti to be the more credible. Its you that put the doubt in my mind, by saying that 10 miles was far to cycle.....to a Lfgss drinks. Sorry if there has been some confusion, but it just doesn't seem realistic that you can cycle so far, so easily now.

    I'm sure you're a grand fella.

Sounds like a better idea by the hour.

    Pick

    • How about wanting to fight with you if you said some remark to me as I know I'm not in the best of humour at the mo, and probably not the best adult thing to do. You seem to believe the bullshit spread about people and continue it so you are not a person I ever want to be around.

    • Need to be in Ditchling for longer than anticipated so left earlier thinking to catch you guys in brighton and then though better of it (see point one) as came to the conclusion get an ice cream go to the marina and cycle back.

    • When the next day as I felt quite energetic and had more to do so went finished stuff I had to do then met with friend went for lunch at the Shakespeares head (love that pub) and then came home.

    • Going back to sort a few more things out and its a great excuse to leave if I have to go back before it gets dark.

Did you think I was driving down to ditchling and riding up and down the beacon as I had nothing better to do?

Now if there was a meal deal, maybe two for one or really friendly staff I wouldn't moan like a cheap whore.

    Fixed...
Seriously tho', Will's right... Drop it, dude.... Just put the twat on ignore, you'll only get yourself banned... Again...

  • Lynx, it's when you reply to things in this manner that you do the most harm to your reputation.

I know you believe that you are defending yourself, and obviously to a degree you are, however it is counterproductive.

If your reply was "hah yeah, good one" and then to move onto something else (preferably funny) then things like the van and so forth would fade somewhat.

    +1

Youre doing more damage Lynx - ive even said this to you in person. Bite your tongue or youll seem to be trolling. You cant vindicate yourself this way.

  • i think the thing is:
you're a troll. you may not be aware of your effect on people, but you cause people to have a very definite response to you. you talked, for weeks, about what bike, should we have two groups, shall we have a TT, talked other people down. THEN you don't turn up. THEN you say you did it, there and back. were in brighton before us and did it again the next day.

you're surprised that people don't call bullshit?
i've met you, twice i think, from what i've seen of you i doubt you'd be able to make it to brighton and back twice in a weekend. and here's the punchline, without using a motor based vehicle.
i've had an argument with you about bikes and bamboo. you proved yourself to be an absolute (belter/weapon/whopper/tit/idiot/man with no clue/troll*) *delete as appropriate.
i like to think you're clueless as to how your actions affect those on here and why you may be causing the response that you do.
i have a suspicion that you do know the effect you have on people on here. i think that you enjoy this.

  • ^^ Dammit and Chainbreaker give good advice. I've said as much to you before.
Lynx, you driving a van = Teenslain pushing his bike everywhere - Bendix being faster than light = me being a tory. It's a forum truth, just go with it, enjoy it and laugh with it. Nobody actually cares whether it is true or not so trying to correct it all the time just makes you look like a petulant 12 year old.

  • Lynx, you driving a van = Teenslain pushing his bike everywhere - Bendix being faster than light = me being a tory. It's the truth.

    .

  • Lynx, you driving a van = Teenslain pushing his bike everywhere - Bendix being faster than light = me being a tory.

Can we extend this to include everyone in the forum?

  • So trolling, talking complete bollocks all the time, innapropriately PMing and texting female forum members isn't worthy of a ban?
Not to mention that he offers absolutely nothing to this place in terms of the social side or heaven forbid, even bikes...

I'm sticking the lying, sexcase on ignore*

    *good advice Joe

  • Lynx, you driving a van = Teenslain pushing his bike everywhere = Bendix being faster than light = BlueQuinn is a tory = Pisti is from Swindon = maxcrowe has never delivered a package in his life
