Carbon road wheels?

From our discussions in Italy I think I'd prefer to keep an alloy braking surface.

Opinions on these?

for what your talking about these are probably a good bet, the carbon in them isnt structural, the spokes go through and join onto a hidden alu rim. so the still look bling but are probably much tougher. you lose a little of the aerodynamic advantage because the spokes dont taper in as quickly as if they were going to meet the tip of the deep section rim.

Long out of town jaunts on the weekend was what I was thinking- get as many miles in whilst the summer is still here.

Also I have a bet with Emilie that I need to get some serious miles in my legs to win.

Pretty illogical I know- I need to beat Em up a big hill, so aero is not going to help, but I'll *feel *faster.

A light pair of wheels will help but I'd spend my money on a coach or training program before I pissed it away on a set of wheels that will be fucked by the time you get back to Zoncolan.

I haven't. I'd forgotten. I will train with full commitment from this point forward. No shit miles (I just won't ride). No not smoking. No healthy diet. What could possibly go wrong?

This year my training for Zoncolan was to cycle round Richmond park 8 times.

2011's climb will see a little more preparation.

So would I dude. Next time I'm just aiming for a faster time with no stop, I still have nightmares about sitting at the side of the road blind from exertion. The only saving grace is that I didn't walk.

Fuck it, me, you, car, 2 bikes, 2 weeks. We can tick 5 of those climbs off the list.

I would love to do this... I have trouble getting up the ramp into multistorey carparks however... Looks like 2012 for me :(
