Long out of town jaunts on the weekend was what I was thinking- get as many miles in whilst the summer is still here.
Also I have a bet with Emilie that I need to get some serious miles in my legs to win.
What the fuck have I agreed to now? -
• #53
Pretty illogical I know- I need to beat Em up a big hill, so aero is not going to help, but I'll *feel *faster.
Oh. -
• #54
A light pair of wheels will help but I'd spend my money on a coach or training program before I pissed it away on a set of wheels that will be fucked by the time you get back to Zoncolan.
Shit. -
• #55
I've got to have 30 kg on Em, a light pair of wheels is not going to bring that back?
We've discussed this. Amphetamine diet? 7 days a week, until February next year. You too can be this thin. -
• #56
(I have actually started training btw)
I haven't. I'd forgotten. I will train with full commitment from this point forward. No shit miles (I just won't ride). No not smoking. No healthy diet. What could possibly go wrong? -
• #57
This year my training for Zoncolan was to cycle round Richmond park 8 times.
2011's climb will see a little more preparation.
And some crabon wheels, hopefully.
My training was the ride we did to Winchester. And a lot of polo. -

Anyway, fuck this, it's all about France in 2011..

We could do a best of three Zoncolan/Tourmalet/other big hill?
I can get approximately six bikes in the car and one co-pilot, others to get train/fly/whatever?
-

I've got a list or climbs that I'd like to do somewhere on the other forum.
Your task is to locate the list, pick a climb and be defeated in the race to the top.
-
• #61
Come on Dammit, bring the shit talking. You're never going to win with that attitude.
NB:I'm only trying to increase your sheer elation when you hit the top before me and realise that not only did you win but you've also got sustained bragging rights until the re-race.

To be honest I would be over the moon if I could go up Zoncolan in a straight line I.e. no tacking up the steep sections.
I'm perfectly serious about trying to do a number of the great climbs next year if you are up for getting beaten repeatedly?

So would I dude. Next time I'm just aiming for a faster time with no stop, I still have nightmares about sitting at the side of the road blind from exertion. The only saving grace is that I didn't walk.I'm perfectly serious about trying to do a number of the great climbs next year if you are up for getting beaten repeatedly?
In. So fucking in.Here's my list (In no particular order);
Monte Zoncolan
Alpe D'Huez
Passo Dello Stelvio
Col du Tourmalet
Ventoux
Nibberittet -

Fuck it, me, you, car, 2 bikes, 2 weeks. We can tick 5 of those climbs off the list.
-
• #65
Could you cope with that many defeats in a row?
-
• #66
I would love to do this... I have trouble getting up the ramp into multistorey carparks however... Looks like 2012 for me :(
-
• #67
Only quitters walk.
Footdowns ftw.
I think he'd prefer it if we called it a prance. -
• #68
in
We need a bigger car. -
• #69
Ok, what order would it be logical to do them in?
-
• #70
We could get three of us in, or use a rack and not do 140+ through Germany
-
• #71
Wait - wtf is Nibberittet?
Is that a new piercing?
http://www.frafjordtilfjell.com/hoved.php?valg=0The one we couldn't
easilycross off the list at the same time.I do now want a Nibberittet piercing though.

• #74
Pick a date? Let's fucking do it.
Team Z Gelateria. We need jerseys. -

May 2010?
I thought that might come in handy.
for what your talking about these are probably a good bet, the carbon in them isnt structural, the spokes go through and join onto a hidden alu rim. so the still look bling but are probably much tougher. you lose a little of the aerodynamic advantage because the spokes dont taper in as quickly as if they were going to meet the tip of the deep section rim.
