+1, well said Richard.
And thank you DK. You put in a lot of time, effort and money. We love this weird place, and I hope we did your input here and over the years justice.

Ha! Crumb and me found this and couldn't believe it, I'd been meaning to post it in anti-porn.
No foot retention, risers, deep rims, a blingy chain which was so tight you literally couldn't move it and it's called a 'band wagon'! Really!

ugliest bike in the whole show -

I am really impressed with what I have seen and heard - such a shame I couldn't make it :(
basically +1 on what everyone has said - that wall looked amazing and I think the idea of getting across to the industry the size and power of the forum is great and seems to have been very well recognised by the media coverage (thanks in no small part to that photo wall drawing people in from what I can gather)

Godammit I need the details of that Black Pederson S/S @loafheads post,
anyone point me in the right direction for contacting them? -
• #1031
Demon frameworks. Easily most impressive guy there.

I spoke to who I think was Mr Pederson himself briefly. That bike looked to me totally uncomfortable and impractical, until he got on it, and suddenly its geometry made perfect sense; it sort of suspended him in what looked like complete comfort. No help I know, but that was easily one of the most interesting stands there.

they have a long history (see link) with many versions, i have ridden one extensively which is a Copenhagen version, love it. The laid back position is very relaxing, however they arent as efficient at climbing because of that, but for a town bike, awesome. What attracts me is the combination of ancient and modern on that one, specially in stealth black. So, no-one picked up a flyer with web address at all?

Dugasts and Vittorias have now been seen failing at the sidewalls, Hippy. The world is doomed.
I quit. Time to buy that sportscar I always wanted.

Hippy hides out in his spiritual home
The real reason I didn't attend. Conti's restraining order in effect.

Want. How much?
-
• #1037
It was a pretty mediocre show, do we really need all these threads about it?

+1 I was disappointed by how little of interest was actually there.

RPM = Repressed Positive Mood :D
After the Colnago and Condor fixed bikes the Upgrade Bikes stand had some good equipment by Lezyne, pumps, tools etc
Particularly liked there Slip Chuck pump end for getting in tight spaces like disc wheels.
Slip Chuck pump end £8.99some of their other stuff, not bad value wise either

Come on, it was obvious this was gonna be merged.
This will probably end up in the other thread as well depends if VB wants it separated. -
• #1044
I merged them all except for:
- the invasion plans (which I might reference in the future and as it's locked will be buried in no time).
- the polo threads (which belong to the polo forums)
I've also re-named the one remaining thread to just the stubby title as it's all just about the one topic now.
- the invasion plans (which I might reference in the future and as it's locked will be buried in no time).

http://www.kemper-velo.de/ i think this was the stall that had it on display
I would just call velorution since they are the local rep.

Use Google Chrome, it includes Google Translate and has translated the site for me.
How well does it work? Here's the first paragraph in German and English via GT:
If you ask Michael Kemper, why he opened his factory, he tells of his visit to the Velorama, the National Bicycle Museum in the Netherlands. There, in Nijmegen, he first saw an old Dursley-Pedersen bicycle. From the 100-year old engineering services of the inventor Mikael Pedersen Kemper was so completely thrilled that clear to him was: this wheel does not belong in a museum, but on the road.
For European languages it's pretty damned good.

Brooks were showing off their newer Colt saddles, as well as loads of custom designed versions of their more regular saddles, in loads of colours and patterns. One new product was what looked like a courier/messenger bag, but I'd classify it more as a Expedition bag. It was leather, of course, and massive. It was of backpack design, with crossover straps at the front. It had metal fastening rings at the front of the shoulder, top of the chest.....possibly they're simply caribiners. A cleaver fastening idea. Strong enough to support human body's weight, so easily good enough for a bag; and quick release too. I liked it. But it was too big for all day use in my opinion, but definitely beautiful, in a muscular kind of way. No pictures of it on their website - I should have taken a photo at the show. I've used an old Howie's bag image, to give an approximate idea of what it essentially looks like.
