No, theyre aware. They just dont give a fuck. I spoke to one guy who was advised by the police on that stand to "just get out the way if a truck comes up behind you" in that situation.

They're doing it the hard way, trying to tell the hundred of thousands cyclists to not undertake HGV instead of telling the 2% of HGV in London to be wary of cyclists.

Hate it as it implied that the HGV is not in the wrong.

As I ride lo-pro I also have a blid spot, but obviously on the road are the rules of the jungle - who is bigger and stronger wins.

Also wanted to say that the stand looked amazing, Was nice to meet some more people and to see some of the show, though what did stand out was the photo wall, it was really impressive.

I dont have a problem with them saying "dont undertake". Its pretty solid,simple advice. I wish more people followed it.

The police on that stand, however, were suggesting that even if youre already in the ACL before the HGV arrives, you should get out of the way because youre in its blind spot..

I dont think thats the hard way at all. I think its too fucking easy to blame the cyclists, instead of requiring operators of dangerous vehicles to be able to see whats going on right in front of them.

Reeen, what's up with the hubs? Or are you taking the piss based on my previous problems? ;)

you got it. i couldn't see anything wrong with their hubs there, sealed cartridge bearings shouldn't give you any problems.
those will need the sprocket and locking to be tight too though :P

No thanks to the dumb thieves who swiped the Pitlock (sans-key... making the whole thing useless). Nor to whomever it was that managed to do away with the JOL straps (hah! he's got a new design in the works).
