  • Still want to be able to mountain bike though. Is the geo right for that?

  • If you're happy not using Suspension that is.

  • If it gets to technical, you can always get off and push...

  • If it gets to technical, you can always HTFU

    ftfy, pushing is for downhillers.

  • I meant pushing down the tricky bits...

  • pushing DOWN????

I should drag you to Clunker next year, Salman got 7th on a wet course with 25mm Gatorskins.

  • Wait for the Genesis Longitude?

Come with 2.4" tyres on 35mm rims.

Genesis claim you can get 3" in it too.

  • 650b and rohloff

  • Depends what/where you're riding Dakin but I would go with something rigid that you can fit large tyres on. For climbing and commuting suspension of any sort is annoying and for riding swinley forest/epping/surrey hills its not really needed, obviously depending on the kind of trails you are riding.

  • Looks like Kinoko has Rivendell Jack Browns in stock again: http://www.kinokocycles.com/rivendell-jack-brown-blue-label-tyre.html

    Pricey though ..

  • now i've decided i don't need them myself i'll share these from ebay...

Jandd Mini mountain panniers... Guys seems to have 2 sets at a real good price..:

Look normal to me, without worrying about custom charge.

Got quoted £1900 for a KM Ops from Brixton Cycles which is waaayyy too much.

SO. I'm thinking On-One 456 and then put a 29er Exotic Rigid Fork on the front and perfecto.

    Indra's old bike?

  • I need a small haha

  • Your plan sounds good, would definately go with a 29er and always loved those exotic carbon forks.

  • its actually 26inch but yah.

  • Croix de Fer 30 - £1749.99srp

    Cotic escapade.
    Set up awfully but..

Disc brakes, up to 29x1.75 tyres, multiple possible drivetrain set ups.
    Win.

  • 1.75 limit is irritating. Dash of 2.1 comfort wouldn't do any harm.

  • forum biek - Orko 42's

  • Just a quick FYI regarding 'Triple Ready' Crosschecks, in my case (2012) Baby? blue models front shifter isn't ramped enough to actually shift down to the granny ring, so i'll add new front derailleur to the BB and chainring i've just bought to convert it...

Think i'll drop Surly a quick line and ask them to clarify their online sales pitch...!

Putting 650b wheels in might sort that.

  • Dangeruss, you sure? It doesn't really sound like an issues, just installation error.

  • @scoble

i could try a wider BB than the Surly recommended 118mm, i'll try reinstalling it (temporarily) with the BB not fully screwed in to mimic that and see if that remedies it, then maybe i just need a bb spacer?
