I may have missed it elsewhere, but where did you get the trailer? Or is it a home brew?

It's an Extrawheel Voyager, I first saw one at the top of Trollstigen in Norway, which (having ust climbed it myself) impressed me. I got mine from SJS.

looks like a fork you'd get on a £99 hybrid - unicrown needs to die
More importantly, does the tour de fer have clearance for bigger tyres?
also, MTB crankset can gtfo - won't someone please think of the q factor?!
Wait till you see the forks you get on the new CDF, they're appalling:
Big fail from genesis imo

Spec wise, they're a massive value for money.
To be fair, the fork have a lots more clearance than the predecessor, it's just a shame they're so fucking ugly.
-
• #7185
I'm 100% sure they could have achieved the same objectives with a good looking fork

The more you look the worse it gets

owch. the fork.
-
• #7188
It got a 395mm a-t-c fork, a simple swap to a carbon CX fork will sort it out nicely.
-
• #7189
wont that mess up the mid trail?

Here's one. The front rack with integrated cable hanger is a nice touch

What mid trails? 395mm is CX length, previous CdF is shorter.

I thought they changed the fork for 2015? maybe I am confusing it with the tour de fer actually
-
• #7193
the frame is uglier than the fork.
those unicrown forks look good in context, like on a non oversize steel mtb. I think they can look good on a drop bar bike, but not with that frame.
-
• #7194
Frame looks fine to me, paint is crap and the cable routing is kind of strange.

Dat CdF fork :|

Wait till you guys see the CdA.

gradually edging closer to making a decision.
I want a bike I can disappear for the weekend on, as well as commute and ride some trails.
So a MTB that can be loaded up.The On-One 456 is looking good. A mate of mine loves his and recommended. Decent kit for a beginner in terms of mountain biking and has rear rack mounts for packing. That with one of them big saddle bags and a small bar bag could do the trick well.
Maybe have option to switch to rigid fork and woodchippers if the time was right.Other option is a Karate Monkey ops. A lot more expensive (over double I reckon) but, 29er, tapered fork etc may be better in the long run?
No rack mounts but could fit saddle bag and switch to ECR fork for front rack fun and again woodchippers. What say you?

Coix de awful?

Alu frame, carbon fork, 42mm tyres, HY/RD disc, 11-36 SRAM Apex 10 speed 10x1 and a 42t chainring.
It replace the Vapour.

What say you?
Wait for the Genesis Longitude?
Come with 2.4" tyres on 35mm rims.
Ok cool, I get it. But a bike with a large rack fitted yet crabon creates some unnerving dissonance for me, it shouldnt but it does. I would want the rack gone unless in a situation where you really needed all the carrying ability.
Ignore me,
Utterly Awesome bike, enjoy!
