I'd happily recommend the MKS touring pedals, i got mine with some zefal toe clips and single leather strap on the commuter, perfect.

I'd rather have a mtb with dropbars and road chainset than a roadbike with risers and mtb chainset.
Hybrids are the worst.
IMHO etc
They're pretty fun and handy. I used to enjoy riding the Cannondale Rack, and that was a road bike with a SRAM MTB shifters and risers.

I've got a similar setup to you and I love mine. So handy. Only bike I use really.

Y'all realised that your track bike with flat bar is pretty much a hybrid without brakes, right?
-
• #6381
Hell, even hybrid bicycle tend to have a similar fork trails to track bike due to the sit-up-and-beg position.
-
• #6382
I don't have a track bike :(

Yeh, both have posistions less than ideal for proper rides.
A tarck with risers rides quite differently to a triple though...

a tarck is basically a hybrid without a triple and stack of spacers.

Normally I would agree, but it's feasible to have a flat bar bike and still be comfortable for proper rides, unless you're referring to club ride, sportive and the like.

^^^ by proper rides I meant going anything but slowly for hours rather than minutes, up hills, down hills etc. Of course it can be done just fine, I just wouldn't choose it personally.

The guy on the Boardman is a good example. Constant uphill.....

Wow, the drop to the dt shifters looks less than functional! Good road to rando conversion though.
-

Nothing was really functional before STI.

Not sure if serious. Either way, I disagree. Bar ends/thumb shifters are great.
MKS MT FT.
Go ahead, laff.
They're super light, super cheap, take clips and straps, and are maintainable with accessible bearing races.
