  • That look awesome, rack's overkilled thought.

  • Needs sidecar.

  • Rural shopping bike. I like it.

Rear light placement renders it unsuitable for this thread.

  • A couple of mudflaps off being a perfect winter trainer?

  • Panniers height doesn't matter much, otherwise couriers will be falling down all the time.

In my experience it matters quite alot- I used to carry everything piled on top of my rack, and the bike was much harder to control when climbing hills standing up because it swung from side to side so much. The lower the better. The point someone made about weight close to your body being more stable is true, too.

  • I ♥ that Rourke

Cheers guys. None of my bikes have ever made it to porn- would actually prefer them to be in here :)

If the frame had been made for me I would have gone for a much shorter headtube, but that -17 has my hands near enough where I want them, and it still hasn't stopped me putting in around 8,000k on it since I built it.

  • I really like that Surly, not sure why.

  • Has been elsewhere though...

  • Deleted my comment when I clocked the bottle cages on the front.
    Sorry andy.

  • No need to apologise! It's for sale on here at the moment

Because it's rad as fuck. Duh.

  • Because it's rack as fuck. Duh.

    ftfy

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yeah

  • Recently discovered Straggler fork's clearance is way bigger than advertised, you can squeeze a 2.3" tyre in it...

A monstercross StraggleCheck instantly seemed like a brilliant idea and I'm building a stupid wheel for it.

  • Impressive stuff, what about the rear clearance?

Surly gone and done it again by making the straggler longer and shorter than the cross-check, fuck sake.

    a classic edism

  • We measured it but I can't remember what we decided (will check with shop tonight). They list 50c/1.9" so I'm guessing it might have been 2.1" in depending on the rim...

I think I'll be pretty happy with 2" front, 45c rear.
