really like this. Would the handling be much better if the front panniers were lower?

Panniers height doesn't matter much, otherwise couriers will be falling down all the time.

When I get my Kumo, this is how I'm building my current CX bike up.

But surely the difference with a courier bag is its on your back, close to your body. That makes it easier to adjust and adapt your balance accordingly. Whereas wieghting any one part of a bike makes that part heavier and impacts the feeling of the bike.
Sorry if I missed something.

That Fort is lovely.

Except the colour matched salsa. Needs to be black.
I regularly scour ebay for a suitably proportioned salsa quill. No luck yet. -

Do you think?
It's probably the first non-black colour matched stem I've liked. I think it's the black headset and the other black componants. Maybe even just the sticker to make it look OTP and less NAHBS.
Just by way of spam before I sort out my FS thread I have a black TIG Kelly ahead stem in the same style as those Salsa ones. 0 degree, 1", 110mm.

Nice Raleigh light touring frame. Should post in ebay finds but it fits in here quite well. Especially as it's a little different, having calliper brakes and fastback stays.
What kind of tubing is 2055? I've always wanted a special products division frame, they seem like something Bond would use.

Lovely job there. Does anyone know how you'd clean up those rims? He only mentions rebuilding the wheels with new stainless spokes and as far as I can see doesn't mention the rims..
wrong thread
