Price is good (including S&S coupling), framebuilder had plenty of experience (tried and tested), and it fit the bill perfectly, TIG weld and all, will have to find out how much a custom front rack is thought.

They do look well priced. Some extremely ugly builds though.

Would it not be better value to have couplers added to your CDF?

CdF have different geometry, does not like riding it anymore (or other bikes) after the Oak.

You're limited to the plastic SKS in 26" as they don't make them in 650b.

Rivendell recommends P45 Longboards (700c) for 650X38b actually.

The surly straggler is gagging for it.

I was actually looking into it today.

Putting 650b, even with the 42mm will drop it quite significantly, having said that, my Oak have a big BB drop of 76mm (255mm from BB to tarmac, 10mm lower than a typical touring bike), so it's not the end of the world.

I have to use a dremel to trim off the mudguard to fit inbetween the fork legs and rear stay as it was slightly too wide, the P45 make sense.
