  • It's made by Velo Orange (in the US). I got mine from them directly but postage is steep unless you're getting other bits n pieces too.

The pic is from Freshtripe who have them on their site.

  • Cheers man!

  • ^^ is it just me or does that support thing look like a little man with his arms out in a Jesus Christ pose?

  • WTF?

Catholic to the 'I Confess' thread? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Why won't it work with an A-head? Can't see why it wouldn't.

  • it should work with a few spacers under the stem.???

  • The black rubberised loop sits snug to a quill stem. That's too tight for an ahead stem.

  • The radius of the bend might be too small for your average A-head stem.

  • The radius of YOUR bend might be too small for the average A-Head!

Ahead stems tend to have wider bar clamps?

    headtube??

    :)

  • From what I can see of the rack, the head tube is irrelevant, I'm just talking about stereotypical stem design.

    .

  • Here's a little demo for you aheads that are finding the radius of this bending their minds...

  • Fitting is a lot less fussy if you don't have cables running across.

    You mean anteater pose?

  • Hmmm?

    I'm seeing this.

    • Waits to be accused of copyright infringement by George Lucas.

Praise from the King of the memes.

    I'm flattered.

  • That rack is amazing!

  • My girl friend needs a basket for her bike (ahead with pod shifts and risers).

Does anyone have any cheap and cheerful* recomendations?

    • doesn't actually have to be cheerful.
  • I would add a front brake, replace the bullet light after it (inevitably) falls off with a less vulnerable unit, add front light, replace fenders with Esges and replace the grips with Ergons.
The way that rack is mounted at the lower stays seems to indicate it's for decorative use only. An integrated fork mount would be much more solid.

  • it looks like the rack is attached to the brake hole on the fork, so should be fine.
