The Devils Falcon. Don't be disheartened, dude. I don't know what happened with that transaction with Kid24m but even if you did mess up, the fact it's sorted now shows you're a good trader. If it was just a misunderstanding then again, don't let it get to you just because of how 1 person acts on here.

Perhaps it should be a rule (or a guideline) on this thread that before you post your complaint you PM the person involved to tell them. Then at least they have a chance to respond.

you should def take it up with the seller before posting on here. this list carries a lot of weight and posting here can have a big impact on a seller.

Deplorable behavior from them over a return/refund means I will never use them again and will certainly never recommend them or their products to riders. Which is a shame because they have some cheap stuff.

There's a forumer here from Planet-X (clue is is the name) and maybe you should get in touch with him about your qualms? My experience with them have been nothing less than brilliant and IF it is a one off mistake, your statement might be deemed quite hard hitting.

I've just started a PayPal claim against them, after their ignoring my emails since 23/05.
I returned two items, replaced them with new purchases and have never received the refund.

Gulio wa willing to buy some stuff from me and we both agreed that weekend would be a good time to meet at mine to check my items and finalize transaction. Saturday (agreed day) night received mail from him saying that he wont be able to come down since he needs to work over the weekend. He also said that Tuesday would be best day for him. During that week I was trying to get a contact number but all requests for actual mobile number have been ignored.
On Tuesday I received pm from Gulio that he changed his mind.

What a waste of a fucking week.

That's a bit shit.

Classic timewaster. Agreed to buy wheels off me, sent about a million questions (all of which could be answered by reading the advert). Said he couldn't pay until the next day as banks were shut (even though he said he would pay by Paypal... ?) which I reluctantly agreed to. Wheels are cleaned, tied, bubblewrapped, taped, boxed, and taped again. No payment or contact next day - PMs sent - no reply. Next day, no replies either.

Seems harsh to put a new-ish member in here, but this isn't how things should work on this forum. I've got a queue of people wanting those wheels and he's wasted everybody's time. I'll remove this post if I get an explanation and apology.

Planet X pulled the fingers out of their arses - I was given a refund. Still need to wait up to 5 days for the funds to reach my account.

The price was right/arguably a bargain, the seller did provide a £30 refund after I complained, but even so, classifieds should be accurately described and a dented top tube is a dented top tube (had this been made clear, I wouldnt have bought it).

I have already done enough talking with various PX employees, none of it satisfactory TBH.
Getting a simple refund when you have been supplied the wrong product (and sent it back) should not be like pulling teeth!

Really? fair enough to have an opinion. What do you feel I did wrong in the situation? I know I was a little hasty in leaving my other job, but it hd for all intents and purposes worked out....until it didn't. And if he had been honest with me about what work was available then I would have worked around him.

I don't normally air dirty laundry to do with work on the internet, but I'm livid on this one and felt it should be public.

However, current economic climate etc circumstances for small businesses can change daily.

I'm sure he didn't set out to treat you this badly (or his other staff). I feel you may be burning bridges you don't want to burn in the heat of the moment.

This all appears a tad petty/bitter (understandable) and (from some one who has never met you) a bit beneath you!

I've re-thought and put a note on the bespoke thread about what he's doing right as well, hopefully it'll just be a learning experience for him.

tbh I think your totally right Nhattattack. The current economic climate is no excuse to treat people like shit and mess them around to the extent of leaving a job and turning down a new one. Also the fact is he committed to giving him the job and then just totally shrugged him off, if he wasn't sure he shouldn't of offered. It also looks like he's a total dick anyway so deserves a bit of bad rep.

also on a side note I thought that with the recession, people downgrading from cars and bike to work thing bike shops where booming ?, I'm just going on a guess there though and the amount of new bike shops opening

I'm not feeling the Planet X love at the moment. I've posted elsewhere so won't go into too much detail but, in summary, the frame I received was not the frame pictured on the website and the reasons given smell a bit more like excuses for sloppy website listing. Hopefully they will sort it out (i.e. refund or whatever) fairly quickly though having read through various comments about PX's customer service on this site I'm not holding my breath.

not sure if this is the best place to ask but what options of receiving payment do people prefer?
1 paypal as gift ( I heard that paypal can reverse your funds after you sent out the bike so you are left without bike or cash)
2 bank transfer ( is this a safer way for the seller to keep the funds)
