me - I'm in search of a team, either as a third or as making a pair then searching for a third. Playing NE/S 3-4 times a week so I'm looking for people who want to play a lot of polo. Anyone?

You'd be welcome to play in the team with Venn and myself, as I think you are local to us (NE), but I suspect you are probably looking for a higher level team, we are both relative beginners. Obviously I would need to talk to Venn first in any case, but we are looking for someone.

John - sorry for the late reply, thanks for the offer but without sounding like a pretentious dick I'm going to say no for the moment. This season I really want to learn more about positioning and team play and I don't think I'd get that from playing with newer players.

No, that's absolutely fine, we are aware what sort of standard we will be playing at, and it's probably best we find someone at our level for this season.

So I think we need to start properly discussing the League 3, how it will work, and we need to get a team list together fast. I'm thinking we should have all teams registered within 2/3 weeks, and start the league mid/late september.

Are we happy to continue the 1 fixture per week with 2 weeks to play configuration?

3 games? to 5? 2 games, 15 mins each? Any other ideas? Draws, golden goals? Rules?

What should be the rule on failure to attend a fixture within 2 weeks?

What scores are awarded for forfeits? Do we need forfeits at all? None were used in the most recent league.
