By lap TWO it would have dwindled a LOT

I really want to come along but parenting duties are allowing me an easy excuse. That said, I went to work on the road bike this morning and I could not make it go very fast. This bad cold/chest I cant seem to shake for 3 weeks now is ruining me.
End of rant.

It's getting popular this year! So on that basis:
[Insert fancy graphic]
HoP 14/4/11
[Insert clever name]Thursdays,1830hrs for 1845 departure at the Gloucester Gate traffic lights. Heading anti-clockwise.
20mph+ average, but if you can't hold on, worry not! Form your own little train for light relief. Lap times are between 7:00 and 8:00, with a possible slow lap/rolling rest after the first 4. Stop after 8 laps/22 miles. Or earlier, if you're a slacker (you know who you are). A little bit of a rest, then off to the Edinboro Castle for some refreshments (calorie recovery through chips and beer). Or the Flask, if you can face the hill. The chips are better and cheaper.- upstart

I get freaked out when large numbers show, so theres a hypothetical number cap right there. nothing stopping you from turning up and joining in, I'm just wary of large groups.
Hopefully in. The way it split last week I don't think you have any real cause for concern. That said the week before when I got tangled up with the 20+ Rapha ride it really wasn't a sensible size group on that road.

I'll head for the hills if things feel stodgy.
S'not much more space, I'm not very big, but every little helps.

• #814
Seeing as things were a bit tight at the meeting point last week, we shall convene here instead. Inner circle, on the green opposite York Bridge. A little bit more out of the way and spacious. Hope that doesn't cause too much confusion. We'll roll out and up at 1845 anyway, so if people get it wrong, it's not the end of the world.

I cannie make it this week as i'm being shipped of to Norwich tomorrow night for add-on's to my offshore training apparently! More getting dunked in a swimming pool and waltzing around in orange jumpsuits, fun times!

Looks like I'm in for this now. Have been running tonight so I will feel rubbish tomorrow- never mind.
I'll add myself to the SlackerList, but who knows how things will turn out. 6pt I recognise and approve your waiver of responsibility but I'll be damned if you can stop me doing laps... (hope Cambridge was good-- very jealous! Lovely day for it).

Lovely day for riding up - toasty warm with a permanent tailwind. Packed too much in my bag though, back absolutely killing me all the way, and maybe picked the wrong bike. but whatevs. gentle jaunt back tomorrow :)
(thought i'd ignore my gps and follow signs in to cam for the last ten miles. somehow ended up going south without realising, adding quite a bit to the journey. and ran out of water at mile 40. two bits I didn't enjoy so much. but good character building stuff.@braker - ride isn't capped, I just don't want to feel responsible for everyone is all :)

I managed 7 minutes 28 seconds of power last night on the way home. I spent the next 40 minutes coughing green phlegm up. Need to get rid of this cold.
