HoP 21/4/11
Rail Replacement ServiceNo pain train this week; I'm down in Dorset sneaking in a recce-run on the local TT course while pretending to be with my family for pre-Easter.
Slackers rejoice!
Instead, a rail replacement service will be in operation.Thursday, 1830hrs for 1845 departure at the large gate opposite York Bridge, Inner Circle. Then up and out for some anti-clockwise Outer Circle fun.
20mph average, but if you can't hold on, worry not! Form your own little pootle-bus for light relief. Lap times are irrelevant, but there's a possible slow lap/rolling rest after the first 4. Stop after 8 laps/22 miles. Or earlier, if you're a slacker (no shame in that). A little bit of a rest, then off to LMNF for recovery.
- Brave (cheating and in pain cave)
- adrian
- woodie (72" fixed)
- upstart (74" fixed)
- Stonehedge (3.5" erect)
6.pt (in spirit) - JAMIE (whistling)
5.45pm meet(inner circle), 6pm start for half hour laps pre sprints thursday 21st:
- nelaii (arriving at a tight 5.55pm traffic dependent)
- laner
- fade
- Woodie (warming up for the HoP not the sprints)
- upstart (warming up for the HoP so will just be ticking round for 30 mins)
- KRZ
- Brave (cheating and in pain cave)

Don't think I'm going to make the early meet up so will just do a lap or two and then head for the main meet

Why didn't I think of this? Was too pissed off to think clearly - I'd left my valve unscrewed and it failed, a puncture I've never had before.
Hope everybody had a good ride, gutted to be sitting at home and not spinning. Will have to go on my own tomorrow now.

That was class. I have attached the Garmin record from the ride, the laps are all up the creek because I was too fcked to keep a track of pressing it at the right time.
http://connect.garmin.com:80/activity/embed/80622237Started with Brave, BMMF, ADRIAAAAAN and Me. As we went a few others jumped on, and eventually we had a top group working nicely (and a lap with JD at the end as well). Some laps worked so well...others.....didnt. That was a hard session.
Below is my TT from last night on the Bexley 10 Course, my legs after last night and tonight are ruined.
