BMC and Canyon are the only one that doesn't use this trick, any other manufacturer that managed to keep it's STA normal?
BMC do it with there quil seatpost models. Which is why I bought one.

They're even worse.
I don't think so.

75.5 degree on the smallest road model?

hmm its for the missus, she currently rides a charge hob in xs. Roadlite AL frame seems like a perfect match in XS but she needs single speed (tensioner or ENO hub). I am trying to avoid non single speed frameset though. Plug in XS seems like a good idea, I'll order one in Evans to try. Any other options?

but i wanted something nice, how about Tokyo Fixed Dream Machine in 48 size?
-
• #4933
That will work, The Dream Machine geo is quite good for the size.

trigger pull? She is keen on getting a light weight bike compared to her current 9Kg-ish bike. I was thinking abt swapping the forks to carbon one when we were thinking about Gazzetta since Dream Machine is pricier (by £100) i'll wait and see how she finds the total build weight.
-
• #4935
Sounds like you want a nice looking steel, road SS.
-
• #4936
If you want lighter. Get a alu frame with carbon forks.

yea condor is an option too (not lavoro, not drilled for rear brake), cant seem to find their frame geos though .. it will work out similar cost wise as condor does components on the cheap and offers 10% discount for the whole build but their frames are more expensive, the only reasons I am leaning towards Dream Machine is for its versatility mainly tyre clearance and mudguard/rack mount which she will need.

Build lighter wheels, job done.
My Dream Machine was 9.5kg and that have heavy touring wheels and what-not.
-
• #4939
I'd look to get a alu frameset with clearance for 27mm tyres.
-
• #4940
Dream machine seems like winning atm, having look at condor too. Fucking geo charts! WHERE?!
-
• #4941
what mudguards though? I am leaning towards something removable and light like crud mk2 or something.

They have them on the site, as a PDF download. Bit of an arse
Just get your missus a kinesis or something? They are plenty light, loads of clearance and mudguard mounts. Or a genesis equilibrium.

Considering replacing my omnium with one of these... Or the 2013 omnium... Hm

Would a small (52cm) Fuji track work? I have the 54, from 2009 and it's still going strong. The bike is under 9kg, although only the frame is original!

Rack/guard mounts?

Would a 52 or 49cm Fuji track work? I've had one in 54cm size (tt 54) since 2009 and it's still going strong. It's under 9kg easy, although only the frame and forks are original. It can fit mudguards if you want or just a clip on. I have also run a 32c tyre... was tight, but fine.
What the hell is going on with my posts? This was directed at Amey

Sounds like Amey needs a pomp. Pretty much everyone does.

I have a plan to replace my Bob Jackson with something that doesnt fold in two each time I step out of the saddle. I'm not bothered about frame weight. I just want a brutally stiff alu frame and carbon forks.
I have TT bars on my fixed. So I'd like something I could set up for a MAMILs TT position

forks arent drilled on that one ^
otherwise great bike and will suit your purpose i.e. fixed tt with front brake? -

Then what's the point of the Dream Machine?
They're even worse.
