  • Ok, best value :)

  • Well, since they are essentially the same price, the one which is best will be the best value. I have whole crates of both citrus and pomaceous fruits here, but the comparison will remain, if I may say, fruitless.

They are both good, just pick one according to prejudice.

  • If you don't have an opinion, just say so.

  • Ok, if you just want my opinion, get the PX. I like SRAM Doubletap over Shimano STI.

Happy now? Any minute now, somebody with an equally valid opinion will come along and tell you to buy the Cannondale, and you'll be back to square one.

  • If you don't have an opinion

    Doubtful ;-)

  • Any opinions on which of these is best?

Your choice appears to be black&white.

    *Racist.

  • I don't have an opinion

  • i am anti- planet X for no real reason. So get the CAAD

  • Ridden my PX 900km this last month and it performs really well. And those Dales are horrendous looking imo.

  • ^ what seatpost and wheelset?

  • Any opinions on which of these is best?

Are you looking for a 48cm frame? Evans shows only that size available.

    CAAD8 (48cm) 528mm stack 364mm reach 510mm top tube
PX (small) -5mm stack +15mm reach +20mm tt

15mm reach is a decent difference.

    Should answer the original question.

  • I've always liked the look of these....

Do they ride like shite? I'm guessing its not the most ground breaking of frame weights. But it does look to have major stiffness, and some wooshy aeroness. Yet they seem to be on clearance all over the interwebs...

  • iirc litespeed carbon are just a chinese open mould frame

since the lynskey family sold litespeed years ago the brand is not what it used to be

  • looks exactly the same shape as the Wilier Mortirolo and a couple of other like De Rosa. still pretty nice frames but obvs massive price difference between brands if you shop around.

I'm not sure you could call it open mould. But chinese yes.

A Archon T1 owner did an extended back to back review with the Archon C1, and made it sound pretty good.

The T1 is pure Ti sex. If you want both shiney-ness and uber stiffness.

    Really?

Like, every single tube is different......

  • any experience, good or bad, with these?

  • Could someone recommend me a bike for under £1000 (cycle scheme)?

I want it to be fast and light, practicality isn't an issue as I'll keep my comuto-mtb for wet days and carrying stuff. I want to start doing some longer rides but nothing mental - probably up to ~100 miles.
    Thanks!

  • the one i got, cannondale CAAD 10 105 £999

  • Unfortunately I don't think it's going to be that price in my size. Especially not by the time the scheme gets set up properly

  • You can always price match at evans, thats what I did .. what size are you after?

  • Oh really? I didn't think they'd match things not in stock... 56/58, depending on fit

  • You're right, have to be in Stock, however if the website have no incidation that it's not in Stock, you're good to go.

  • obviously has to be in stock on both websites :P
