  • I wonder if what you've outlined above has anything to do with your gammy hip from the bikefit thread...!

  • Could well do.
The shoulder, wirst, arm and hand were all as comfortable as I could hope for, but maybe my cockpit changes have knocked off my balance elsewhere on the bike.

  • I suspect that my victory of weight loss may have been short-lived.
I've had 4 roast dinners in 2 days... (leftovers)
    So good tho.

  • I was 69 again when i went home on sunday, but I've had 2 dominos pizzas today so..

  • Fatty.

  • Before Easter weekend- 77kg.

During Easter weekend- ate chocolate with both hands, for 76 hours.

    After Easter weekend- 77kg.

Is that the same as Myfatfriend?

  • Myfatnesspal as we affectionately call it.

So you came up to eat and breathe at least twice.

  • Hmm long Easter weekend was not kind on my weight, but probably good for me in other ways, I suspect eating hot cross buns with slabs of butter, following it up with chocolate and then a cheese rosaries or two as a quick snack between breakfast and elevenses isn't a great idea!

Back on mission sub 70kg, going on holiday in 2 weeks so plenty of reason to be careful with what I eat.

Managing to keep to calorie limits, but constantly hungry and can't stop thinking about food...

  • I find that phase doesn't really pass. 90% of my mid-morning boredom emails to Rosie (and the ones I receive back) are all basically "I'm huuuungrrrryyyyyyy" and "why isn't it lunchtime yet?", and then the afternoon ones are "I'm still huuuuuungryyyyy".

  • Today's my fault, could have plenty of food but saving calories for a few beers later.

  • I've found that the psychological effects are so bad that even if I overeat by a fat margin I'm still convinced that I'm in imminent danger of starvation purely by virtue of just being officially on a diet. Constantly hangry as a result.

  • beer steals all your calories. requires exercise or dietary prioritisation. I hate mfp for putting the guilt into unexpected binge drinking. bastards.

    Weight loss is shit.

If I was pro I'd get to cane myself on the bike then sleep all day, thereby removing the need to eat. When you're stuck in front of a computer all day 'thinking', your mind invariably wanders to the rumbling in your tummy.

One day binge isn't so bad. I've been managing to lose weight and still getting pished on some nice beers. I just try not to do it every day these days.

  • Exercise supresses my appetite something marvellous, so it's a double whammy of good. 'Working' from home and riding every day was weightloss central. Being locked in an office is spoiling my fun.

  • Now 67kg, weight loss is a piece of piss

  • The left over pizza I am having for breakfast says otherwise

  • I've realised that all my Sports Nutrition books are now 10+ years old, including my favourite guide about how to eat if you are teaching aerobics (those were the days), and things seem to have moved on from them.

Please can anyone recommend a book that will help me get my fuel and nutrition right, particularly as I still need to shed some weight. I seem to be back on the food cravings again, and my weight is starting to go in the upwards direction again.

    This made sense to me.

Down from what? Unless you say 120kg or something then you're a string bean anyway and the food thread is over there >>>
