Chubbies complaining about misleading portion sizes has about the same ring of truth as bankers lamenting the small size of their bonuses.
Edit: Rosie, check the fat-free yoghurt doesn't have added sugar. Personally, I'm unconvinced of the benefit of fat-free yoghurt and low-fat foods in general. Fat makes you feel full. People who switch to low-fat versions of foods are often just making life harder and unhappier for themselves, actually eating more while still feeling hungry all the time.
I'm not too fussed about whether it's fat free really, it's just tasty and was on offer. But thanks.

Interesting point about the "fat free" foods, If you look into the outlines of a ketogenic diet, it's around 80% fat and less than 5% carbs, The fat is satiating and the body begins to use it as a primary fuel source instead of carbohydrates/sugars.
I'm back on it and have dropped 2kg in a week (whilst retaining strength, longer rides can be a slog but sub 40 miles is fine) -

But that rules out pizza. And beer.
I don't understand :/

As discussed with Hippy back a page, the initial progress spike is often misleading. It's as if your body is caught in the act of raiding the fridge for cakes and ice cream and just drops it all, saying "What, me?"

I thinkk it's also a bit of water weight too, i'm drinking around 3L a day now as Keto makes you very thirty!
Still, seeing a 2kg drop is definitely helpful to keep going on it. Would be worse if there was no drop, could lose motivation then

My main goal for weight loss was, wait for it, wedding photos. Now she's signed the contract and I have photographic evidence that I wasn't always a biffer, I am more than happy if I can still ride to work and back and occassional longer rides and play a game of rugby on a Saturday.

Althoughy commuting jacket has definitely shrunk over Christmas. Will have to speak to Evans about this.

It does if you put in 1 potion of cereal and in fact you've had 15 portions...
That's not calorie counting.

especially since a lot of MFP users are borderline mentally retarded and seem incapable of entering foods nutritional information using correct units.

This has caused me to look on the back of the packet of delicious Lidl muesli in my cupboard. Oh dear. 400 calories per 100g. Fuck knows how much I have in the morning. Maybe 150-170g. Skimmed milk though.
But I've dropped 9lbs since Christmas by eating no bread, no booze and spending quite a lot of time feel hungry and painful turbo sessions.
Losing weight is a piece of piss if you're motivated and prepared to suffer
-
• #7315
The difference between skimmed and non-skimmed milk is trivial compared to the intake from the muesli in the bowl. You could switch to full fat, reduce the cereal portion a tad* and probably feel less hungry as a result.
*Very scientific measurement, ok, Ciq?

Jesus people, cereal first thing in the morning, are you trying to torture yourselves or are you still children? Get some effing protein into you for breakfast, or you'll be wanting the rest of the box before lunch.
-
• #7319
I would never have cereal for breakfast. I prefer poptarts.
-
• #7320
Reformed french breakfast for me.
Black coffee and a nicotene gum.
-

Polish lager.

Lager for Breakfast is why my gainzzz all went south during the last 6 weeks. Woke up on the 6th of January with a newly formed beer thickening around the waist. No pop tarts though.

Sometimes I do kippers. Other times, smoked haddock poached in milk. And then I drink the milk.

That just made me throw up a little into my mouth, thanks a lot Bruce.
the other thing people do in the MyFitPal app is not add in the fat and sat fat when they create a new food so they don't have to face up to the harsh truths.
