This, I keep coming in here thinking "cake update! YEAH" and there's all this shit about bros lifting instead. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Chainbreaker and I were in the gym together this morning, there was hugging, and vests (albeit mine was inside out). No cake though, that would have made it better.

Hooray! I demolished several cheeses and a large slice of wedding cake last night. It was great. #doingitright

I've decided that as I only have one event left this year I am allowed to get fat for winter.

No winter cross league then? i was planning to give it a go

I've really got to work on my running, that's going to be the primary focus over winter.
I need to get my half marathon pace to something respectable ahead of next May.

Can anyone recommend something good one can make for lunch the night before thats not salad, or am i screwed?
I used to just eat pasta a lot but I'm planning on joining the gym when i move and trying to lose weight so cutting down my excessive carb intake is probably high on the best ways to do it (i'm happy to cut out pasta etc but the cakes staying) since my current diet is mainly cereal, pasta, rice, noodles and cake.
How bad is cereal for that matter? In first year i was much slimmer/better weight but I didnt drink much and i had cereal for probably 10-15 meals of my 21 a week

Quinoa is your best bet for lunch. You can buy it in bulk at Earth in Kentish Town.
Go for cereals that arent crammed full of sugar, and the fibre will be good for you. Try unsweetened Almond milk instead of milk. Making your own granola, is tastier and better for you.

I lost 20 odd kilos last year and one of the biggest things that helped was having muesli for lunch. A 1kg bag from Tesco is £3, no added salt or sugar and I get 5 lunches.
Now I am building my weight up with muscle, I still have this but supplement around it with better evening meals and protein.

thanks guys, both look like a good idea for alternating between, cheap too, waste too much money buying crap paninis and the like.

Stick a sweet potato in the oven the night before, it's more complex carbs and good energy and nutrient levels. Could try a chicken breast on the grill and then have that with it.
Cereal is probably not great, porridge wins though.

^ Yeh, Cereal probably isn't ideal. If you're noshing a lot of it try to make sure it's not full of salt and sugar. Stuff like porridge, weetabix and posher meusli / granola would be best

Most porridge is in a different category to the others you mention there, as French Touch was saying.

I'd go for Couscous, roasted veg and some spice. Couscous is so cheap and takes about 2 mins to cook.

Dust.
Dust is actually very low in fat, so you can eat as much Dust as you like. -
• #6818
If you scrape the dust off the shelves in your office, it'll also contain lots of human skin cells, so it's also a nutritious protein source.
-
• #6819
Yeah - but my problem is that I always have to have it with buttered bread.
-
• #6820
That's been deep fried

• #6821
shake you keyboard upside down.
Loads of low fat dust and flakes there.
Protein levels will depend somewhat in browsing history.
-

Keyboard dust is one of the few kinds of dust that genuinely does have high human skin content. Otherwise that's just a myth.

73.7kg after a week of eating and drinking on a boat, with exercise limited to a few sets of push ups and opening and closing a lot of locks.
A bit relieved to be honest, back on the exercise again as of Wednesday as I have a sprint tri so there's no. Point beasting myself before then.

Had a crash last weekend and spent a whole week without touching the bike. This, after a couple of indulgent weeks has me left me with about 10lbs to shift. Not happy with myself and I have a monster ride planned for Saturday :(
A week of iron will and discipline ahead...

My iron will is being tested by me today: it was my brithday on friday and in the traditional manner I've gone and bought a shit load of cookies, doughnuts and cakes for my team and they are now sitting on my desk.
They've been there for 3 hours so far and I've resisted, I think if I can resist one then I'll resist them all but if I have one I will be forever doomed.
This, I keep coming in here thinking "cake update!
