Nice one Poots.
FWIW, IMHO etc...
I have lost about a stone and a half since November by simply doing these.
As I have got better I have started throwing in some burpees and sprawls and swiss ball type exercises, as well as other floor exercises like mountain climbers etc.I have always struggled with my weight since I was a kid and have done fanatical running, fanatical cycling, fanatical dieting etc.
However, the best results I have ever seen in my life of weight battles is by doing 90 seconds on each of the above exercises, and running through them 2 or 3 times, 3 or 4 times a week.
I don't know owt about science me, but if you go for these (and you go for them HARD) then it has an all over work out and toning effect which just seems to shed fat!
It seems to shock your whole body into change every time you run through them.I am not a doctor.
I am not a scientist.
I am, however, a stone and half lighter then I was 8 months ago and it is staying off.
Worked for me anyhow.WJ prince do you have any more info on the above exercises? Like time spent on each one or reps? Well up for giving this a go.

So, I went to the gym yesterday. The gym is about 10KM's (6.4 miles) away if I take the best route. 5KM (3.2 miles) if I take the shortest route but I'd rather ride the longer one). It's a terrible gym, that's for sure. The woman who owns it does not actually wants to help or set you up properly. I've been to gyms before (didn't tell her that) so I knew a few things already. There are machines with big warning signs that they should be properly bolted to the floor, but none of the mounting holes are actually used. If you are strong enough you can move the machines. A lot of leather on the machines is damaged. But it's at a proper distance to ride my bike to and it's cheap as well. It's only 25 euro's a month (21.40 pounds) and the second cheapest is 47 euro's (40.23 pounds)
Because of knee problems I can ride a track bike or a spinning bike with a proper flywheel. but the ones they had there had a very very light flywheel (it said 20KG (44LBS)). Because of that the actual spinning effect isn't there. wasn't able to ride them but I take the longer route for more cardio training so that's ok.
I only did my upper body yesterday because of a torn muscle in my upper leg. I drank my whey right after. I'm going back there today. I'm going to try to spend as many days per week in the gym as possible. More gym, less beer :)

Oh shovelling and wheel barrowing about 15 tonne of soil and sand Sunday has made me ache for the last couple of days.
DIY is good for weight loss - So long as you don't admire your hard work afterwards with a beer!

Surprisingly down after spending a day catching crabs and drinking vodka redbull.
In other news I burnt my baldy head so was glad of the rain this morning

You do each exercise for 90 seconds, or if you are really out of shape start at 30 and go up by 10 or 15 seconds duration as you get fitter, and transition between each one with no rest. Really power them out.
I go round the whole set three times which is just about dead on an hour. -

catching crabs
Ha, I read that as 'catching carbs' :-)

Thanks - just the info I wanted.
I'll try starting at 30 and see how I feel.

I ate practically an entire gammon joint last night and I've put on 2kg since. Lozzles.

I suspect that this is a one off and not a miraculous new diet...
It's a massive sacrifice, but I'm willing to try out the bakewell pudding diet.

Had a slap-up at Meat Mission on Sunday, completely torpedoed my diet

You can kind of see the scale, it's not on a dolls' tea set or anything.

What you cant see from that photo is the scale.

That's pretty much exactly what my weekend was like but with more garlic bread.

So, I may have had 2 ice creams at lunchtime, but they were being given away and they were mini ones so they don't count right?!
Must learn to say no!

As this appears to be the confession thread. I ate a large icecream, a muffin, a pizza, an almond croissant and then a whole carton of smoothie yesterday.
I also spent the weekend drinking booze and eating BBQ.
I did get a 2nd place in the 13.5 stone category at the wrestling at Northumberland show though (hence the celebration eating).

Ate a few chocolate eclairs this afternoon. Cycle home and trying out that program tonight that WJ prince recommended.

I now feel a bit sick
I moved my weigh in day to this morning as I was 300 miles from my scales yesterday.
76.8kg
So progress on last monday so I'm fairly happy but a bit annoyed at myself for cracking and drinking over the weekend...
Overall still probably stayed within my calorie target (running, cycling, swimming and hiking up hills helped there) but I'm not sure beer calories are usefull ones!
