Managed to not drink last night!
Had some lovely water and lime while everyone else had beer or g&ts.
Slight problem is I'm now the only one up and we're supposed to be heading out cycling in about 5 minutes...
Hurrah! 2 more days of epic running/cycling and swimming and if I come back higher than 76 then I'm going to have a temper tantrum...

I've had a week off exercise- because I just didn't want to.
I also have been eating like a glutton.
I suspect my body may have needed it.
Time to start again... -

I really need to hop on this again. Did really well last year, moved house started cycling to work and eating more. That and the fact I've spent most weekends in the last 6 weeks eating out means im probably at square one again.
Will weigh myself soon and add to the spreadsheet.
Will be ordering some protein powder too too fight off the hunger pangs and drinking way more water.

My mum and dad went home on Wednesday after bringing soda bread with them. They left a loaf behind and I'm trying my best not to attack it.

Made myself a cup of tea, and spotted the packet of Jaffa Cakes I bought earlier. "Ooh", I say to myself, "one or two of those will go nicely with this tea".
Entire packet inhaled within 5 minutes. Mug of tea still untouched. Deit pls

On the plus side you're hammering me in the luffguss May Massive league. I'm going to be pushed out of the top 10 entirely very soon by the look of it, as well as being Moar Fat due to my jaffa cake blackout.

Purple MJ has done almost twice my mileage, I'm hanging onto 6th currently.

I figured there's not really any point in trying to get anywhere near purple_mj's absurdly mahoosive effort, but to not even finish in the top ten will probably make me fling my bike into the Thames with rage, tbh.

Just find whoever Stuart Thomas is and feed him Jaffa cakes until he cannot fit through his front door.
Then, whilst the fire brigade gingerly lower him onto a cetacean transport gurney you can get the miles in.

I already know who he is and in fact was supposed to be riding with him to Kent this morning but decided instead to sit at home eating Jaffa cakes while he's out smashing it up Toys Hill in some monster ride that will destroy my already tenuous ranking. Might be easier to just follow him home and kill him.

Drop a Faraday cage over him so that he cannot upload his mileage to Strava- no Strava, no happen.

This is a good plan. I visualise it as being a bit like the board game Mousetrap, with Stu as the little mouse rolling around and me dropping things on his head remotely, while guffawing and eating jaffa cakes.

Mount his Garmin magnet backwards and he'll start logging negative miles. trufax

I'm not after any advice, but here's a simplified outline of my weekly plans for anyone interested.
06:00 Aloe Vera, Lemon Tea
I don't care that you're not after it, you are getting it:
Remove Aloe Vera. It's probably OK if you drink it when not excersizing, but seriously, remove it. You can loose potassium which you need for a proper heart function. It's better to replace it with brown bread and a little bit of sandwich spread or something else with low calories.

I'm trying to loose weight myself. I hit a sort of bump. I went from 106KG to 81KG. Due to all the cold (didn't cycle enough) I went up to 86. currently back to 84 but it's not goint fast enough. my goal is 75KG. To solve this bump, I'm going to the gym tonight for the first time in years. I've choosen one at the other side of town so I can do my cardio going to the gym.
My job is too far away to use my bicycle and have no reason to grab it besided training and alleycats.
Hopefully this will help loosing much more weight. I'm going to try to start with 3 times a week. I hope to be able to go more often but try to start a bit slow.

I rode 400km in 3 days, lost a coupla kgs and my torso looked CUT!
Then, after spending some time sitting still and drinking water my kg had returned and my abs had gone.
Dehydration rock/sucks (delete depending on your priorities).

He still hasn't logged any miles. I hope he isn't actually dead, I was only kidding when I suggested it might be better for me if he was. In any case I have slid back up to 7th place and I can surely hold that for 4 more days. Surely.
Anyway, today's ride will hopefully make up for having cheesecake for dinner last night instead of actual food, and go some way towards compensating for the jaffa cake incident.

This makes no sense to me. What could be more food than cheesecake?

77.1 this morning, the pizza and chocolate diet is paying dividends
I've been on that diet for years and it never helped me.

Vanilla cheesecake = mains
Chocolate cheesecake = dessert -

Ah, Stu's moment of fame. I can let you in on a secret: his weakness is pies.
I have spent 3 days eating ALL the things, managing 2 pizza date nights and a fair amount of garlic bread. Plus icecream. And scones. Screw you diet, it's the holidays.
And yet I still fucking bonked on a hill in the Peak District, as my food consumption is timed terribly and there will be 8 hour periods where all I eat is a Feast. Le sigh.
Southern - I think we have the same "issues" when it comes to bread...
