Hot weather is bad for these reasons:
1) ice cream
2) drinking lots of pear cider/ginger beer in the sun
3) lounging on the roof all day instead of going places
4) when actually cycling, it's too hot to cycle quickly
5) too hot to go running -

Embrace the sweat! I only have a short commute so make it my goal to smash out the 3 miles and be dripping when I get home.

My target is 95kgs give or take 1 or 2. Starting weight was 134kgs. So far I've lost 10kgs since taking the whole diet thing seriously just over a month ago.

10kg in a month? make sure you're not overdoing it!

I expect it to level out but with a large amount to lose the first 2 or 3 stone seem to fall off if you really put your mind to it.

Down to 120kg or 18stone 13lbs in old money. First time I've dipped into the 18stone category for a good 3 or 4 years.
So, since starting I've shed just over 2stone or about 14kg.
In terms of health my resting pulse rate average has dropped, I'm walking faster and generally moving more quickly, my blood pressure has dropped back into the healthy range (it was on the high side for a long time) and I used to have patches of psoriasis on my elbows and on my scalp that would never quite go, these have now almost completely vanished.

Very glad for you VU, I like it more when people talk of general health benefits, more than just "I want a six pack". Keep up the good work.

This is why I'll never understand people who ride everywhere in their normal clothes and their hair done, I sweat so badly and look such a state in any weather I can only go ride in cycling specific clothes, carry a change if needed, and accept that my hair will look like Eraserhead. FORM A QUEUE LADIES!

Is this the right place to ask about food/ nutrition that kind of thing?
I keep getting really bloated at the moment a short while after eating and sometimes It's rather painful.
Is this brought on by a certain food type? Things I should avoid?

Can I just add to this thread by letting you all know that the trousers i'm wearing (which I just had dry cleaned after several months languishing in a desk drawer... the trousers, not me) are stretched so tight round the middle that the waistband is starting to turn over on itself. It's not a good look.

Sometime in the next couple months I am going to spend a couple weeks getting shredded. I signed up for some university research a few months ago and was supposed to be losing some weight which I ignored! gonna do some last minute.
Current BF 24% stay tuned to see what I can get it down to.

Just about back to where I was pre long weekend.
Doing quite a lot of weight training so presume that some fat is turning to muscle especially as my clothes are fitting better again.
Hope to avoid booze for the next couple of weeks and shoud be pretty close to 70kg given the amount of exercise I'm doing.
