  • I quit my gym, and bought a weight bench/ weight set that equates to 3-4 months of gym fees.
I also bought a chin up bar.
Circuit sessions @ home/ in the garden are go....

Feel like it may be either the best thing I ever buy or the stupidest- time will tell.
Now to get a turbo for the shed for winter...

  • Buy an MTB instead of a turbo. Much more fun when the weather is bad and a much better workout.

  • Since next year will see me spend my daylight hours in a lab or a hospital, I figured its probably the best way of keeping cycling fitness.
It's not a weather thing. Just a convenience/ time thing.

  • Morning fatties!

  • instead of changing your diet, recommend no soft drinks for a month. it may have been said here before by others so apologies.

It's not fat that is responsible of obesity, but sugar in our diets. glycogen levels fed by soft drinks (corn syrup in the case of fast food joints) makes us hungry and therefore we eat more, also lead to snacking on the wrong foods as a result between meals.

  • That should be easy, I've been doing that my whole life. Never got into the whole fizzy drinks thing when I was a child.

Chart updated. I was doing really well this week until thursday then had 3 days of lots of cooking with sumo and no cycling and a bit of a heavy night last night so it's gone a bit squee. Never mind, I will make up for it next week.

  • Stuck on 80 kg with a hook.

Looks like I'm not going anywhere lower without a cardio.

  • instead of changing your diet, recommend no soft drinks for a month.

I don't drink soft drinks, but for some time delivered far too many calories from juices (mango/apple).

  • ^ Oh FFS. Why not just go into an induced coma for a fortnight? Lazy fuckers.

  • I feel like I've been in a coma for the last ten years.

  • Better than being in a comma, they're really small and it would get horribly cramped for those of us with fat bones.

  • I feel like I've been in a coma for the last ten years.

    that was a kfc

  • 78.3 again, this weight is not shifting- somewhat oddly when I went to the gym every day to do resistance work I was 3kg lighter, now I'm purely doing cardio I'm stuck around 78.

  • Haven't had breakfast yet today - seems to work for me when I eat breakfast later - 9.30 - 10ish. Even If it's just something small.

  • Down to 124kgs so have shed another half a stone. 4 and a half stone to go.

  • Jesus wept. Using Nose Feeding Tubes Becomes Trendy Lose-Weight-Fast Diet.

Bloody hell, would people really want to put their health at risk that much? 800 calories a day is nothing surely your doing long term damage?

  • Nope.
600 calories a day for 3 months is one of the methods of dietarily attacking T2DM:

  • 600 calories for 3 months? You'd be like a rake at the end of that though, how can you have energy for anything else? Even walking would become hard.

  • Suffice to say non-essential enteric tube feeding is stupid, and it won't last- like all the damn fad diets.

  • 89.1 this morning.

Was at a friend's wedding at the weekend and everyone I hadn't seen in a while commented. Some asked if I was ill.

  • Now to get a turbo for the shed for winter...

I have rollers in the workroom. Its a good way of not missing a days training when you cant get out.

  • Was 67.9 at the weekly weigh in yesterday.
Feeling like next week could be sub 67....

Also I updated the table a bit:

Come on guys- I wanna see how you've all done!

  • That should be easy, I've been doing that my whole life. Never got into the whole fizzy drinks thing when I was a child.
