Needs to see how many press ups I can do.
Henry that's a bit of a shock, is that all fat rather than just surface fat?
Just tried this, got to 50, might have been able to squeeze out 2-3 more but nowhere near 100.
Damn you Stevo for adding another challenge to my life!
Also both Henry and Neil, if you've increased exercise and weight is staying the same then its the old paradox that muscle weighs more than fat, keep with it and the rest will come off.
Also i found when i started taking carnitine i held onto a massive amount of water and my weight increased by about 2kg in a week!
i'm not sure it actually does anything, but i have a bottle of it so I've been taking it for the last month or so and it doesnt seem to be doing any harm.
obviously i'm awaiting the results of your experiment with baited breath but hopefully i'll be at 70kg by then anyway!

So will I. I've promised myself to be the same weight as I was when I was 20 on my 25th birthday.

I've just been to our staff Christmas party at the Bavarian Beer house.
I have eaten so much that they had to dismantle the door frame to get me through it.
Burp.

That Christmas nosh-up was quite large.

72.5 this morning
I think two helpings of Xmas pudding with brandy butter, sauce and clotted cram may have changed that!

might have to put this thread on ignore for now... December has been a bit of a write off and every time this thread pops up I feels guilt... (chubby smiley while munching another sausage roll...)

According to Strava I have burned 6,896 calories over the past three days- which does not sound like that much now I look at it.

• #2210
I'm 74.5 after a day of near solid eating.
I don't understand. -
• #2211
I ate as much as I was capable of on Christmas Day and pooed it all out without gaining - it's about what you eat all week
-

76.8

I know for a fact I've eaten way too much this week. Ideally I want to get down to 11 and a half in the new year again. About 12 9 at the moment.

Post xmas and a svelte 10.5 at 5'10
Not bad seeing as i was 12 last summer and all i've really done is stop buying a pint of foamy starbucks crap in the morning. Barely rode last year which is prob how I got to 12 in the first placce :/
Belly all but gone, just needs tightening up a little ready for summer lol.
Lady Liz has got me on her Jillian Michaels dvds. They're fucking brutal, 30mins feels rougher than a whole day at work... -

Working hard at it again. First run tomorrow in over a week. First target is 12 stone dead on. Going to be harder than I think, as were moving further away from my work my commute is going to be about 20 miles to and from work. It's going to take me a while to work out what my body needs to run and repair for that. Any tips?

77.5 when i got home tonight.
well after a week and a half of eating and drinking utter shit and lots of it, and although i ran a long way on saturday i haven't really done any other exercise in tht time.
in summary i'm upset but not surprised.
sure it'll look a little rosier in the morning and i'm sure that when i'm back on the wagon tomorrow i'll be right as rain in a week or two.

protein shakes work for me on a running recovery basis.
promax diet for breakfast followed by a normal healthy lunch and dinner and it falls off in general.
^ unless i eat and drink my bodyweight....

Well I don't drink booze (hardly) I think the hardest thing will be getting home from work hard and not eating my body weight in food.

Mrs Bobbo has somehow made it seem like a good idea to promise that I will go on the Dukan Diet with her, we start tomorrow, so as of tomorrow I will have 3-5 days of eating nothing but meat! I was very excited by this and envisaged myself eating nothing but bacon for one working week, have now been told that bacon doesn't count..............

^ Our lass wants us both to get on the Dukan thing.
Strikes me it will be an awful lot of effort and planning.Have you read the book...?

No my commitment is this:
- I am more than happy to eat nothing but meat for 3 - 5 days.
- I have said that I will stick to the diet when Mrs Bobbo is around.
- I will be told what is and isn't acceptable to eat.
- We are not doing the permanent Dukan diet thing basically Mrs Bobbo wants to use this as a kick start for a healthier lifestyle and has been told by her hypertension doc that she may well be able to come off beta blockers if she can keep weight off and work regular exercise into her daily routine, I really want to help her achieve this.
We have friends who have had amazing results loosing weight on this diet and if this is what Mrs Bobbo feels will work then I am going to support her the best I can and also try to help her find ways of exercising more regularly as I feel that this is more important in the long run.

77kg this morning, so slightly less depressing, think this week will be a bit of a normalisation and will take stock of where I am on friday...
Not convinced by fad diets but good luck bobbo, sounds like you've got good motivation

Nice one Bobbo.
Best of luck to you and your ladytype.I got to work this morning and found my work slacks and shirt were a little to fucking tight for my liking.
Xmas gorging aside, I realise for the last year I have been comfort eating at my desk to make up for the fact I hate this job and the people I work with.I don't do resolutions but I do need to fix up and a) loose about 1.5 stone, b) get a new job.

My over eating over Xmas hasnt affected my weight. But the lack of exercise has made everthing drop a cm.
The last 2 days I have beasted myself with a 20k run, as much cycling as time allows, and a 2 hour weights session.
Getting back in shape. But I cant fecking move.

I and a few people I know have tried the dukan diet (myself more as an experiment) when you start be ready for a lot of weight loss most if not all of this will be water weight. If I were you try it for a little while but don't stick to it. Make lifestyle changes and you'll feel better for it rather than a fad diet.
When trying the dukan diet I noticed I was having bad cramps in my legs after cycling make sure you look after yourself if your still cycling a lot.
I'm not saying It's a bad idea you seem like you've got a lot of motivation behind you but maybe work out your own diet plan, It'll be much easier as your doing it with a partner than by yourself.
I'm 75 and very stable. varying range of 74.4-75.7 over the past week.
Its annoying me as I've dropped to a 30" waist and my belly is going.
Would very much like to be around 72 by February.
I think I'm going to reduce daily calorie intake to 1300.
Will see how that goes!
