I had a weekend in Chester last weekend, eating out twice, unlimited sweets, many beers and wines. Weighed myself this morning, no change.

Cheers. I've been thinking about it for a few days and have come to an 'unfortunate' conclusion.
Sober = Willpower
Drunk = All the pizza I can order online and moar beer!
So... No beer on skoolnites seems to be the best way and maybe some mini pizza's in the freezer.
Which is a right sod because I really like the taste of ale and craft stuff. :(

Although at the 'induction' session at the gym today I was told that aiming to lose 0.5 to 1kg a week was a bit dangerous and I should 'aim for 1 to 2lbs a week instead'...

Goes to show that the metric system is just dangerous.

Finally weight has started to come off.
It was the beginning of the year when I started using the turbo trainer. Initially my weight went up, and then it plateaued though I was becoming a little slimmer (clothes started to feel less tight). Then came a gradual reduction but nothing significant (I returned to the weight I had been before I started doing additional exercise).
In the last 3 weeks I have lost nearly 1/2 a stone, am hoping to just continue doing the turbo sessions.

I completely lost the plot so took some drastic action and went to a fit camp last week.
It pushed me to extremes but got me back on the bike, back into exercise and best of all, I lost 9lbs in weight and 4 inches off my waist in a week. This was with eating healthy balanced meals (so much food) with intense exercise. It was also warm and sunny. They also do pure cycling weeks, and cycling in Palma is much more fun than cycling in the UK.
I'd recommend either the fitness or the cycling week if you are struggling and need a kick start.

@I_am_Hingis we're pretty much the same weight now. you've done amazing so far.
I just havent been able to get in the right mindset, lots of stress with work and crazy shit with my parents so I keep saying fuck it I'll start tomorrow then going out and buying a shit ton of junk food as my 'last hurrah'. 7 weeks to london marathon so i need to knuckle down and stop fucking about. need to be about 7kg lighter to run it comfortably given my lack of training.
today is my first proper serious day back on the wagon, no more excuses.

I've seen you do it before and you know it's achievable too. Go get 'em!

I've nearly got enough points in the work peer recognition scheme to get the Fitbit scales. It is either that or a set of saucepans.
Are the scales any good?

Saucepans>>>>>>more weight, less worrying about it
Scales>>>>>less weight, still worrying about it. -

What's the set up like?
I use a Charge HR so obviously have an account/dashboard.
mrs_com does not. Can she just use it ad hoc? Can she set up a fitbit account just to track weight bf% etc?
-

Setup took 5 mins and was super easy. I use the Surge. My Girlfriend and daughter, neither who have an actual tracker, have successfully registered accounts just to track weight.

Wicked, thanks. I was close to buying one but then realised that I only need some more points to get it for free.

Doesn't really matter as long as the trend is going downwards.
Ok thanks for the warning on that
