if you cut your toes off you can also wear smaller shoes which will weigh less as well.
that's science that is.

I eat loads of fibre rich foods after training. I think its to make me feel full, and fight off cravings, while not actually ingesting much in the way of calories, or is it to keep me regular?
Been doing it so long I cant remember.

If anyone is interested, some researchers at Birmingham University are offerring TWO free DEXA scans and V02 uptake testing as part of a study.
First one can happen in the next few months, the second after october next year. Gives you a long time to see what changes you can make in your body!

Saw a friend mentioning Scooby's Workshop. Looks like a sensible site.
It's more bodybuilding than general fitness but there's probably some useful stuff in there regardless. -

Right, i've been eating pretty much nothing but chicken, meat, peppers, onions, chilis and tomatoes. Drinking is limited to milk & water with on average 2 pints per week. Fat % isn't dropping and is hovering around almost double the figure I was at some time ago.
Any tips?
Just got my body fat measured today, apparently 6.5%, i'll need to get that double checked as that seems a little too low, body fat measuring scales have a reputation for being pretty innacurate.

IIRC the tanita scales should not be used first thing in the morning, after eating or exercise.
My fat content jumps by 2% (higher) in the mornings.

I don't think it's good for me to measure my weight loss. Instead I have decided to go for body fat percentage and general body shape. I only managed 4 games this season, out with knee injury from May to January then after 4 games I broke my wrist. I put it down to being generally out of condition.
I have been back on the bike everyday for the last 3 weeks (at least half an hour a day) and since last thursday I have been going to the gym for half an hour before work (just round the corner from work, £15 a month and have a shower in work). we'll see how this goes. Touch rugby should start soon, that's at least 1h30min of running/sprinting/general tomfoolery every Monday and Wednesday night.
we'll see
if I can start next season at 100kgs, fitter, stronger and not made of glass I will be a very happy man

Day 4 at they gym and I managed bicep curls for they first time since spannering my wrist, painful but not unbearable. Didn't weigh myself/check body fat last night as I had had a feed of spuds and salad, or this morning as I felt a massive deuce brewing. I will probably do it when I get in from work amd use that's as my bench market.

I got fat again.
I think recovery from the marathon put me in a really bad place and went back to all my bad habits and it's taken 4 months to get into a good routine again, but the weight is coming off again, and hopefully by the end of may I will be back sub 76 kg again.

In the Times on Saturday there was a hard core 2 week regime that David Cameron's personal trainer uses to get models and actors into shape quickly.
If anyone wants a quick way of loosing weight and toning up it looked pretty good. Bear in mind it is quite hard core and involves not drinking alcohol, but only a slight dietary change.

That's inexcusable, H.
That attitude isn't going to get you down to 70kg again.
