I joined the YCC challenge, as many centuries (miles) as you can in a year. Should keep some weight off!

Any advice on either something that will satisfy the cravings without just smashing a load of cookies, or how to break the cravings?
I had this. I just did everything I could to distract myself; coffee, water, even doing some actual work. The cravings for sweet stuff went after 2 weeks.
87.65kg this morning but not my usual level of dehydration. Marathon in just over 15 weeks. Want to be <80kg for that (had wanted to be 76kg). Ho hum.

I fear willpower may be the answer. I guess I just need to tell myself I've had all the calories I need in my lunch and be strict with myself.

Weight loss is easy. Cal in < cal out.

Weight loss is easy. Cal in < cal out.
Cal in ( better discipline ) < cal out ( more effort )
I see nothing easy there :-(

I don't mind smashing Shit loads of cals with training.
It's eating enough to train and recover effectively, while still losing weight that's tricky.
Several post chrimbo weigh ins have me 1.5kg up over pre Xmas. Not a lot. But it takes me ages to lose that in a stable manner.

Turns out exam time is harder on a diet than christmas time. Bollocks to it though, mind over body for this month.

what scales are people using? I can get a 4kg variation in mine just by getting off and getting back on again. Seriously, is there a forum approved set of bathroom scales? Or shall I just take the lowest reading I can find every time I use them? Or the highest?

My body seems a bit freaked out from my return to a high fiber, high protein, diet. After a long Xmas period of fat and carbs.

have no idea what's going on with my weight loss. don't seem to be moving much, but am eating well and doing a shit ton of exercise, hoping it's just gained muscle keeping things on an even keel.

Do you measure you're %fat? Maybe you are getting leaner. I've started measuring mine using a bathroom scale. I know they are in no way accurate but over a long period might give me a trend.

4kg??! They're fucked. Tanita are generally regarded as the most accurate.

I got the fitbit aria bodyfat scales to measure but it reckons i'm 18%. when i started using it for the first week it said 26%, then it dropped to 20% overnight and it has been trending down since then but i think it's too erratic to be sure wtf is going on.
Yep. Dark chocolate is really satisfying if you want something sweet, and it's not too filthy either
