  • Can anyone help identify this Concorde frame?

What kind of tubing it's made of or maybe someone has a frame like this?
It's a heavy frame, but I don't have any means to weigh it right now. I think just the frame set weighs about 3 kg.
It's got an ISO bottom bracket thread.
The paint job is original and and all decals are under a layer of lacquer.
No panto or signage on bb shell or dropouts.

  • Hi, post #1 from me.

I'm hoping to learn more about this frame. Some features that I can see: it has a 'Reynolds 753 renovated' sticker; and there is a number on the headtube, 554676. I can't see any other obvious markings that might help.

Any pointers would be appreciated, cheers.

  • Whawt& where is your serial#?

Can't find any, but the paint on mine is bad so I'm stripping it in the next few weeks and hope to find some more info.

My BB however is stamped RGF which is a french brand of BB shells and used very much back in the days.

  • Didn't know where to post, so here goes..

Shamal Pista wheelset, 16 spokes, all original hubs and spokes.
    8/10 in overall condition.
    Almost new Veloflex tubular tires.
    Only used on the track

    What's that worth these days?
    Thinking about letting them go.

  • £300-£850 on eBay this past year, but it depends on condition.

    Silver or Black?

    Any dings or major scratches?

    Pics?

  • Silver..

No dings, some minor scratches due to normal use, one slightly bigger. But that's it.

  • You'd sell them here pretty quickly!

  • That's the "problem", I live in Denmark.. So would prefer to sell them here. Just wanted to check what they are worth.. But shipping to the UK isn't impossible..

Just need to now what a fair price is..

  • Anybody has any idea, from this picture, what brand the bike 'could' be?
It had no markings, no badge, not the original color, nothing. Steel roadframe and yes it's a shit picture but at the office now so can't make close-ups for you guys. Shot in the dark, but would be greatly appreciated if you could come up with suggestions.

  • ^ Oh yeah, and it's a frankenstein build. Only interested in the frame builder.
    (no original crank, wheels etc.)

  • If you provide close ups of lugs around headtube, bottom bracket and seat cluster, these can sometimes give a clue. Also when the bike's upside down there may be an ID mark stamped into the BB.

  • Sadly no stamping on the BB, but wouldn't surprise me if they just painted over it.

  • Shite, forgot to resize. Where's the edit button?!

  • Hmm, no stamping on any part of BB at all? What about on fork steerer or inside rear drop-outs?

And, what diameter seat post does it take?

  • Nope, checked everything twice. Nothing to be found anywhere.
27.2mm seatpost, BB is british/iso and stem is 22.2mm.

  • hello,

what year is this, can anyone tell? it just says cosmic carbone, doesn't say sl or slr...

what's the fair price for a pair of wheels like these?

  • Hi, I've not been able to confirm the details of this frame yet and am hoping to before I start building it up. Having now stripped it back I have some additional detail. Hopefully someone can give me a steer toward the manufacturer and rough year.

The frame has 'Bianchi' stamped on each of the rear dropouts, and the serial number '554676' on the head tube. The bottom bracket measurements are 70mm by 36mm (which I understand to be Italian?), seat tube diameter is 1", and head tube diameter is 30mm.

Does the fact that it has Bianchi dropouts suggest the frame is the same brand? Any help or observations are much appreciated.

    Cheers

  • Fuuuuuu you might just have inadvertently identified my frame's builder.

Mine looks extremely similar to your old Roberts, though without cable guides and sadly lacking the stamps on the fork crown. Also my seat stay bridge isn't drilled.

However the lugs look identical, and they both share dat fastback...

Mine has Campag ends (look slightly different to yours) and an RGF (if I remember rightly) bb shell. Would this be similar to yours?

I am sadly quite excited by the prospect of discovering this. Have been wondering since I got it!

Why sadly? Embrace your inner nerd!

    It does look V similar.
The ends on the one I sold were plain IIRC but a really nice shape possibly cut from plate by Roberts. The details on that frame were stunning, it needed re-painting but sold for £250 and the buyer was well pleased!

  • Wondered if anyone could help me identify my old track frame, I bought it about 5 years ago it didn't come with original paint and i just got it powder coated at the time.
Stupidly i didn't check for any only decals under the crap paint before it was stripped.

When i bought it i was told it was a 50's British track frame, with Nevorex Lugs, it has a English BB and the seat post is 22.2 i think.

The only identiflying marks is it has 5765 stamped on the BB shell and fork.

Any help identifying it would be awesome..

  • ^It looks quite similar to mine, so I'm pretty sure thats a mid 50's Carlton Flyer. Check the track ends for serial numbers as the Carlton's ones are normally there

  • Does anyone know the make and or model of these panniers?

    Haha, done and done!

I think they look pretty close, and it's as good a lead as any. I'll email some pics to Roberts and ask them if they recognise it.

Thanks a lot for the extra pics, really helpful!

Will report back once I've emailed Roberts :)

Thanks, although I cant find a serial number on the drop outs, although the powder coat is so think its difficult to tell. I shall do some more digging

  • I just bought this NOS Colnago Dream art decor.

Does anyone know when it was build? I can't find to seem any logic in Colnago's serial numbers or a decent database..

The serial numbers are: 1D997 and D285

    Cheers and thanks!

Airplane tubing? Nice! I'd say anywhere between 1999 and 2011, The one (Rabobank) I used to ride was a 2000 edition and was built exactly the same. My dad rides it now so I don't have it at hand to check the numbers. Will have a peek when I'm at my parents' place.

btw There's a 'Colnago Official' Facebook group nowadays, maybe you can shoot some pics their way
