Hello, so i bought this Dave Lloyd bike last week. But I havnt really found any information regarding the frame. Is there a nice database for these frames hidden somewhere? Im assuming the frame and fork are from the 1990s. Judgeing from the decals. And perhaps Reynold 531C tubing because of total weight atm(9.72kg).

Levers look like very similar to C-Record ones that I used to have back in late 1980s, don't recognise brakes as never had that style. Not sure there was much to differentiate the levers in the different groupsets back then until they started putting the model name on them.

Hi all,
I bought this frame recently and trying to find out the exact model, does anyone have an idea? The painting is obviously not original, I can take some more detailed photos if needed...

Can anyone identify these brake levers? I'd like to replace the hoods but hear that they are specific to the levers and hard to find so am reluctant to rip them off without being confident of finding replacements.
I can't find any model type on them or even any pics of similar models on the google... Similarly the shimano hubs don't have a model type ont hem so if anyone knows whether this was normal for shimano products at a particular time period that would be interesting to know too... Thanks for any help.

^I had the same levers on a bike build with full shimano 600.
These ones however aren't drilled, so I don't know for sure.

i think the ones i have look a bit older. the bike has nameless shimano componants, as well as shimano 105 and shimano dura-ace so that angle doesnt help me much... agree though that they could bean earlier version of the 600...?

The equipment on it is really good - all mid 80's pro-level stuff - Modolo Master Pro, Spidel, Simplex Anatomic.
All answers found thanks to Agustin! Thanks!

Hi,
i might be getting hold of this F. A. Lipscombe bike on the weekend.
http://www.lfgss.com/picture.php?albumid=1920&pictureid=13316anyone know much about lipscombe bikes? how to date them etc?
it looks like the cranks aren't original, nor the wheels or the front brake.
but if anyone can recognise anything from the picture it'd be great to know.

I had these on a bike that was full Shimano 600 except the brakes which were 105. So I always thought they were golden arrow. Here's mine:

Now I'm not so sure!
*Edit if you do get rid of the hoods, I'll have 'em!

that looks pretty much like golden arrow.
to my headset: someone has written hs-03 pi record pista on the package and it weighs 132g instead of the 152g that it should weigh according to velobase.

@theHighlander - you must be right that these are golden arrow, though looking on velobase I found a better link - http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?ID=8b1d5bfc-0176-4268-8c8b-4c1dfe28f8ff&Enum=118 for what appear to be a version which was replaced soon after by the link you posted.
Mine look identical to yours... though not so shiny... :).
If I decide to get rid of the hoods, I'll keep them for you.
Cheers.

That rear mech. looks like a 2nd gen. C-record.
Crankset is Triomphe or VictoryCan anyone help me with these campy parts? I thought the cranks were Triomphe but those bloody big rings confuse me! The mech's all look the same to me on velo too. . .

Yeah, that's them. Mine aren't drilled either. I only had them fitted to a bike briefly I had in the Netherlands and the scratches you can see are from when me friend and I crashed into eachother when drunk!

Hey guys,
I've been riding this frame now and i'm wondering who made it. The brand Giovanni is the own brand of a cycling store in Heerhugowaard (Holland) called Slikker Sport. They couldn't give me any info in who made the frame, only who painted it for them. I'm guessing it maybe came from Ridley (shape of the down tube) but the seat stays/ seat tube connection doesn't look like a Ridley.
Does anyone know what this could probably be?
Excuse the shitty phone pic btw..
maybe lüders.
