  • Can anyone help me identify this Cross frame? 26.4mm seattube and lugless
With a very distinctive bridge, no braze ons for guards so I'm assuming a full on cyclocross frame.

  • A while ago on here I saw on someone's bike which had either foam or rubber protectors that slid over the gear cable outers to stop them rubbing the paint off the head-tube. They looked to be a couple of inches long, and narrower towards the middle to curve around the head-tube. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about, and more importantly, where I can find these? Thanks.

  • Strange request given I posting a pic of a whole branded bike but does anyone know anything about these 'stelvio' or 'scelvio' branded bikes?

  • Malaysian

Sorry for not having responded at all to your pm about those Campag bits

Levers are Athena, calipers Nuovo Record - if I trust Velobase... my Campagnolo professor is on holiday atm, will know 100% sure next week ;-)

  • ^^Don't know if it's the same stelvio....
Back in 2005 FatbirdsCycles ebayed off a load of aluminium racing frames - one was branded Stelvio, the other was unbranded (rumoured to be Ambrosio)
I had the unbranded version as a winter bike

It may be worth contacting Fatbirds for more info.

  • maybe someone knows something about bicycle company - Nicoletti? thats the quality and prices of 60-70s Nicolleti bikes?

  • ??? It's a Leader Kagero.

label is "lbpc" i.e. leader bikes pedal consumption

    Haha, sarcasm recognition fail ;)

  • The Ambrosio and Stelvio frames were generic Taiwanese frames imported by RSI, who are also the UK importers for Ambrosio Spa - but the Ambrosio frames, bars and hubs have nothing to do with the Italian company of the same name.

  • ^ Thanks for clarifying that Monty Dog -the idea that one of the finest manufacturers of rims was flooding the market with £30 road frames (less than half the price of a single nemesis rim - seemed a strange business model to me

Cheers Peter, I had a look on Velobase and Campyoldy (or something along those lines) and was struggling.

A Campagnolo professor eh? Where do I find me one of those? (Guessing not in Leeds...)

  • Still think they are Super Record

  • The Super Record I've found don't seem to have the Brev. int. engraving, from what I can see.

  • The brev is copyright some had it

  • they do look like these

Will check the quick release engraving tomorrow.

And Bottom bracket has a RGF logo stamped on it, which is French I believe. Also there is a '12' on the bottom of the Bottom Bracket.

  • ^ your look frame has the same lugs as my new beater (see post above) - no idea who makes them - keep me posted if you find out!
