  • probably very easy, but whats these tyres?

  • they could be vittoria cross evo xm/xg tubulars

  • Roughly, how much would something like this be worth?
My only comparison was Roberto selling a PRO one, few years ago.
That one fetched a considerable amount.
    Thanks

(That's only dust, the case is mint condition)

  • they could be vittoria cross evo xm/xg tubulars

they are. I had the clincher version, non threaded.

  • Comes with keys and a key pouch

  • I just realized this isn't the right thread to ask the value of something, I apologize for that.
Would still appreciate a guess, please.

  • An aircraft case of similar size will be around £80-£120, but that's a fancy arse job so I'd expect more than that

  • :)

  • I need to replace some of the cup and cone parts for these DA hubs, however I have no idea which modle they are. Is there usually some kind of reference no. on them? Or can anyone tell me which parts I need.

    Cheers.

  • I'm after some more info on a frame before I decide whether or not to hawk it on eBay or keep it.

It's stamped on the bottom of the frame and the forks: 66382

    Holdsworth?

But made from some italian steel I've never heard of - Tubi Oria 9506

    Plain lugs on the frame:

    And on the fork:

It came with a Tange Headset and a Cinelli stem and bars. Thanks for help.

If you look at http://www.nkilgariff.com/ 'models' tab it may be that this frame is one of the 1960's Italian specials built by the company:

  • Anybody recognise the half wrap over stays? last picture is the flat sided fork blades. Shitty home made paint job means they might not match though

I think this may be a Batavus Professional, brake bridge, lugs, bb match up. Frame number seems to be a similar style too.

    Any thoughts?

  • they look like 7400 series hubs 7/8 speed

    Cheers for that.

7/8 speed might be a pain as i was planning on a 9 speed with a wide ratio for touring. Other than getting hold of a cassette is there a simple way of telling whether it is 7/8/9speed?

  • ^That's no problem.. If OLN is 130 mm and spline type hyperglide (very likely) they'll take 8,9,10 speed.. My Gazelle touring Champion Mondial has the same rear hub and a 9 speed wide ratio setup.. Mine needs new cones too.. So if you find a source, please give me a shout..

  • I need to buy some matching forks for this but i am struggling to identify the make, any ideas?
I was thinking about joining VCC would that help?
    Holdsworth or maybe Gilliot?
    The dropouts are Campagnolo.
    Thanks

  • I think it's a Soviet-built UTFS frame.

  • Hi,

I recently purchased this at an amazingly low price $300 AUD, and I would like to work out what model it is. It has colnago stamped dropouts, and the serial number on the dropout is 1b723

The original owner told me it was made from columbus sl tubing and that he purchased it 17 years ago but how can I confirm or deny this?.

I'm pretty sure it has a 94 ergo groupset with some C-Record parts. It also came with Deltas. I think the cranks and deltas have the century finish but I am not 100% sure. I will let the pictures do the talking. But any insight at all would be appreciated.

  • Just doing a google image search for Campag derailler makes me think it's older Chorus

Whatever you do, you need new jockey wheels.

  • I split my front rim and got this one as a replacement at my lbs. It looks a lot like a Dura Ace branded Open Pro rim. My rear rim is an Open Pro and the black anodized area and brake surface look and feel exactly the same. Anyone know anything?

  • eBay sticker FTW!

  • This was dug out of a pile of old bikes at the shop I work at and I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about it. From a bit of research I've done I know it was built in 1980 and the signatures on the top tube are those of the three Viscount factory team riders but beyond that I don't know anything. I'd like to restore it but don't have much to go on.
    Any help is appreciated
    Sorry about the picture quality

The cross bike a couple of posts up has the same rims...

Thanks, yes both have splits in them apart from being worn

  • There's more than one sticker in the world ;-)

Nah they are reasonably low spoke count so are likely some old DA rims from the 90's or something?
