Found a trashed track frame build up as a roadie in a shed. Was wondering what brand it is since there are no stickers, badges, serial numbers. The details that might help: it's a Reynolds 531 build, has a campagnolo patent headset, think the white paint is original, but the yellow parts used to be blue. Pics:
Hope you guys can help me out!

That seatpost, feels light as hell, and has the type of clamp I like, i.e. one that doesn't slip no matter what and easy to fine tune. No idea what it is though!
And what campag brakes are these? I thought mid 90s mirage, is that right? -
• #1681
a friend have them polished and marked as record, i think late 90s.
-

Those may be Campagnolo Avanti with a finish like that.

Have you pulled put the seatpost and checked for anything further down? If seen quite a few brand names stamped down around the limit marker along with the seatpost size.

Just did and there's nothing there. Found out it has a left Campy Pista 165 crankarm (right crank arm/spider is Sistar (?!)), and that the bottom bracket is a Sugino 1.37 x 2.47. The seat stay tubing is a bit triangular shaped.
I thought the lugs (see photo's above) would ring a bell with someone, they don't look very standard.. -

I've had these cranks for a while now - I've always thought they were for track as they're 165.. but my repeat dredges of the internet aren't really helping.. can anyone confirm?
do you have a pic of the spider from the rear?
here you go:

Cheers! Managed to ID the brakes by just trawling through every listing on that velo website. They're not anything special and just single pivot, but have enough power for the job.
USE is the one I was thinking of, no other marks on the seatpost, but again, light and works great. Whole bike is on fleabay right now, if it doesn't sell as one, will be splitting it anyway. wheels are 600 tricolor on open 4CD + dt rev :) -

Amazing, thanks
Do you have any idea of it's value?

it depends on the bcd etc, personally I reckon in the condition I'd say 60-85, but other folk might disagree, search through the classifieds here there have been a few for sale, or ebay them as folk seem to pay silleh money for them

'Handmade in Italy this frame is commonly seen re-branded by a number a big name manufacturers as part of their Track range, however it is available to purchase here unbranded so you can put your own style on the design.'
Anyone got any ideas of the branded frames they are talking about? Or if they are just full of crap? Looks a bit like a Fuji 2.0 or a Dolan.
-
• #1695
Looks like a Dolan. Most of Dolan's recent frames are outsourced.

Almost - Edwards sell these frames branded as their own, however the top tube isn't diamond-esque shaped and there's no cutout behind the BB shell.
If anything it looks like they share the down tube and seat tube perhaps?

Varno sells them under the v-sprint name too, and there are a fair few that go round Herne Hill in various guises. cheap and cheerful, nothing wrong with them (got two).

interested in buying some 165's so let me know price or i'll trade my early 90s dura ace 170s

Anybody recognise the half wrap over stays? last picture is the flat sided fork blades. Shitty home made paint job means they might not match though

I'm after some more info on a frame before I decide whether or not to hawk it on eBay or keep it.
It's stamped on the bottom of the frame and the forks: 66382
Holdsworth?
But made from some italian steel I've never heard of - Tubi Oria 9506
Plain lugs on the frame:
And on the fork:
It came with a Tange Headset and a Cinelli stem and bars. Thanks for help.
Haha, well thanks for the help anyway buddy - the pics on Velobase however do not look like mine, there is a conical shape smoothing the hub into the main disc but the one i picked up is perfectly flat throughout. It is a mystery that's for sure!
Tub and cog ordered earlier this week though so should have it on the road for a trial run soon enough!
