there are a LOT of techie changes in those frames... I'm riding 2009's racemaster and I just feel like I may as well be riding a bmx now.

Impec Noble does look rather sexy.
-
• #105
I think the Impec's are styled on the Hublot team machine they did couple of years back. F*cking stealth-gorge!
-
• #106
Not sure this is UCI legal?
-
• #107
hahaha not sure about those junctions getting through but they'll probably be riding the team machines. Still, can you imagine what it's like to be Cadel Evans right now, rolling about o any of these he wishes to.

• #108
also I'm going out on a limb and saying BMC are the top in technological progression. Move over Gar-veló.

Its the lack of platform that causes them to be a bit unsuitible to fixed riding . Both me and Tilover use quattros fixed without complaint. But you can clip out of standard eggbeaters too easily (had them on a commuter bike for some years). I dont skid, but I do ride down steep mountian roads at mega RPMs. I would'nt want to do that with eggbeaters.
i've been riding eggbeater SL fixed for 3 years, down plenty of steep hills - the lack of platform is no issue at all, if your shoes have decent soles.
i've also only ever unclipped accidentally once in all that time. i think they get a bad rep, i really do. i think for some peoples taste they FEEL loose, like you're going to unclip, but in fact, you don't ( assuming you have them set to the wider unclip angle). just takes a bit of getting used to, perhaps. -

that's twice in one week Hippy (do i get bad rep for this?)
if so, here's something to counter it.

I believe the BMC Impec is the first entirely "handmade by machines"* carbon bike. must be an interesting process to watch robots weaving and laying carbon.
I prefer the cleaner looking Racemaster, the lugging on the Impec just looks like plasticine moulded around the tube joins.
Even though I started this thread, my mind has changed and I think I'm liking the Enigma Esprit a lot more than any BMC...

All I can say is wow rode this Sunday it is awesome to ride no flex whatsoever feels a lot stiffer than the planet x ,and certainly drew some attention at the track I was going to use this for racing and planet x for training I think I am just going to end up using this awesome piece of kit I may go back to my omniums though rather than the Dura ace cranks I think my next purchase will be a FF front wheel.

Dude, sweeet.... a track frame built for the track. who'd a thunk it? looks like it accelerates like a dragster.
Sort of agree. I used Eggbeaters on fixed for years and thought they were okay but then move to Time Aliums and they felt so much more secure.
Went back to SS and the Eggbeaters when straight back on as so much easier to clip in and out and I have a bit of a thing for cross type mounts and dismounts for all the gates and stiles I have on my usual loops. One broken seat so far suggests I need to practice the mounts a bit more!
