Actually it hurts my feeling more.
The design is part of the new forum look which will be rolled out soon, it's branding and has been designed well by a very good designer.
It took a while to organise because we haven't done this before, there are a lot of people involved in the process let alone all the people on here with very strong opinions.
It also takes a while to have samples delivered from all over the world.
We had to come in as cheap as possible to make the forum money.
We had to find a style that would please all the varying tastes.
We had to find one size that would fit all the varying head sizes.
We had to find a supplier that could do ribbon.
We had to find a supplier that could do ribbon at a cheap price.
We had to find a supplier that could do ribbon also at a low print run.
We then had to get quotes, through a third party.
We then had to order it from over seas.
We then had to wait for them to be printed, and then delivered.
It wasn't possible to do it quicker.
It wasn't possible to use another supplier which fit in with the above criteria.
We selected a hat that was used by Brooklyn which has a good reputation and made and printed by the same people who do the Rapha hats.I sure as fuck don't know what else I could have done.

...and now after all that they have shit quality control.
Stop taking everything so personally...you didn't sew the fucking things!
If Rapha had spent months designing a cap and had hyped it up for months, then they started falling to bits, i'm pretty sure there would be a few 'lols' from folks on here.
Suck it up and see the funny side...as people have been telling me for years on here "It's just the internet...it's not worth getting upset about"

Quite.
Clearly if I was upset easily about things, I wouldn't be on this forum. You did have a dig at me, Wayne and David though so I am entitled too defend myself / us.

So out of months worth of designs, months worth of sourcing and checking samples, and months worth of waiting, you end up with plain block capital initials and shit quality control thay you're now having to repair yourselves?
]Here.
I read this as a disparaging comment on the logo design as well as intimating that because a percentage of the caps have snapped, the time and work that went in to getting these was a failure.
Sorry if I misread that. -

I'm not bothered.
It's all about the ride matches my own philosophy well enough.
As a first bash at dealing with multiple varying factors in producing some cycle caps from an overseas supplier who have shut for the summer... I don't think we've done bad. It's all a learning experience, and we'd certainly be worth laughing at if we screw it up a 2nd or 3rd time. But 1st time out... hell, it's all learning and the ribbon is great quality, the hat well made beside from the elastic problem... I'm happy with that. Happy with the experience of learning too, after all, it's all about the ride.
I like the fact that we got off our arses and did something. At the same time as doing loads of other shit. I'm pretty stoked really.
Though if anyone wants their cap repaired I'm happy to also learn how to do good customer service and to figure out how to get this done for you (though it sounds like the couple of volunteers are also doing a sterling job).

So now i've pissed AND shit all over it?
Maybe the elastic is snapping as the hats begin to squeeeeeeeze out peoples sense of humour?
