  • what are you doing in the schools aufbruch Coaching/training/mallet building/polo bike building/organising polo matches?

Would like to talk to you about it

  • this on again for tuesday????

  • yes I'm up for it.

  • I can't come :(

I forgot my mum is in town for my graduation ceremony and it's her first time in the capital.

  • I'm in for tomorrow, assuming the weather holds up.

I might have someone else for future sessions, Venn. He played in the same beginners sessions as me last summer, and I think he played a bit more after that. He said he needed to fix his bike, and then he might be back in. I've pointed him in the direction of this thread.

  • Got another couple of people from CTUK who should turn up tomorrow too.

  • Hmmm... I know the recent discussion is about a session on Tuesday, but any chance anyone planning a game on Wednesday? Already posted a message on the South/Wednesday polo forum, but no reply as of yet!

  • Souths will always happen, don't let the lack of reply make you think otherwise! I'll be there, just assumed someone else would reply to you there.

I remember venn from his coming to souths a few times, nice guy.

I'm not in this Tuesday, but I'll see anyone that comes south on wed.

  • Thanks for the reply. Also noted (correct me if I am wrong) that the location of the court on Wednesday is weather dependant?

I am a 'throw in', just in London for Wednesday and maybe Thursday and just want to experience polo in London :) Will keep checking the South thread and fingers crossed, you will see a Coventry Eagle at the courts!

    Regards,
    Benjamin

  • It says weather dependant, but it's more seasonal! It's basically going to be The park on harper road (I beleive there's a map link on the firs post?)...if there's torential rain (or snow!) it'll be worth checking the thread.

But either way the thread will probably be quite till lunch time on wed. See you then.

  • this on again for tuesday????

    Yep, EVERY Tuesday, 7pm.

    I can't come :(

A passable excuse, this time. We'll be there next week so no worries.

Nice one D! Hope the weather is good, sounds like it's going to be another good one.

    See you tomorrow people.

  • Yay. I woke up this morning, saw the weather was looking ok, and realised it was polo day.

  • By the way, I'm going to try and make it down for 6:30 again. I'll bring a tennis ball this time, so that I can get a bit of practise in until everyone else arrives.

  • I'll try and get there a bit earlier with your ball then John.

  • ill hopefully be around at about 6.30
    also with a portsmouth poloer

  • I'll try and get there a bit earlier with your ball then John.

Don't rush for me, I'm just coming down then based on the time it took me to get there last time, as I finish at 5:30

  • Hi guys, I'll be coming to have a shot tonight, (on an inappropriate bike this week) but I'll give it a go. Wicksie, if i could borrow a mallet that'd be great, cheers.

  • Good times! Will bring you a mallet, no worries.
    See you all later.
