  • Yeah, amazing session, I can't believe how many people there were, we need 2 courts soon ;)

I really enjoyed tonight, I feel like I'm starting to get a bit better, positioning and ball handling is starting to feel more natural. Hopefully I can translate those skills into the NE and Souths sessions.

Sorry that I'm going to be away for the next 3 weeks, the beginner polo sessions are in a really exciting position at the moment, by the time I come back you will probably all be pros...

  • good session tonight guys
    effort getting home though?
    how was daves leg/saddle?

  • well done getting this off the ground Joni. looks like its going really well!

    14-15 people EPIC WIN!!

    well done Joni

    Thanks guys, appreciate it.

  • +1.

  • imagine how many you'd have had by now if it hadnt been a secret society to begin ;)

  • Hello All

    New to the forum

I'd like to try playing bike polo. When is the best/next session for new folks?
Also is it better to play when I have a bike specifically for polo? My current bike is a total zombie or will anything do? Hope so. :)

Look forward to getting some replies.

  • When is the best/next session for new folks?

Every Tuesday, 7pm, Quorn Road, Camberwell.

Also is it better to play when I have a bike specifically for polo? My current bike is a total zombie or will anything do? Hope so. :)

Start with with whatever you have (maybe not if it's a full carbon road bike), then if you enjoy it build up a polo bike.

  • Hey mate. Beginners polo is every Tuesday at 7pm, map on the first page.
We have quite a few people on geared bikes, some on their commuters and some on polo bikes, so it doesn't matter as long as you don't mind if it gets a scraping and there's nothing sharp sticking out of it. We'd prefer no drop handlebars too.
Give me a shout early Tuesday if you want me to bring a spare mallet, bring some beer, and you're good to go!

  • Hey John H, Wicksie,

Thanks for the reply. I'll venture to the dirty south, this week coming or the next. Either way I'll politely request a spare mallet in advance. :)

Have a good start to the weekend.

  • Give me a shout early Tuesday if you want me to bring a spare mallet

Remind me on Tuesday so I know how many I have to bring matey.
    Cheers.
