Ah, a loo stop he means? Was it Oliver that once said when the rides get serious there won't be any, ever? Can't find the post.

I can't remember what that was about, either--perhaps just a reference to stopping very rarely on serious long rides?

I think you were saying that in racing people just let go ... I've seen some funny footage since, TDF riders being pushed by teammates while having a sneaky leak down the side of their bibs and all that.
Glad I am not racing. -

if we're going to effingham junction trains still appear to be on the hour and half hour.weather check beforehand?

Could you refresh my memory for this please chaps?
I presume we are meeting at Waterloo because we are going somewhere on a train?
Where would this be- Effingham Junction?
If so at what time do we need to be there as I might drive there- I need to make sure that I am at Fenella's mothers for Easter dinner by a certain time.
Anyone who lives near SE22 and wants a lift please shout out.

Weather looks good for tomorrow, so I'm still all in.
Meeting at 10am Waterloo station at the ticket office for group saver, and get on the first train for Effingham Junction. All looks good apart my fucking left knee, so I will take it very easy up hill.
@Dammit
I don't know the exactly arrive time, please check later, maybe Damo knows something more than me? -

right:
10:32 from waterloo, gets to effingham at 11.24. trains back are on the 06 and 36 past the hour. -
• #237
Hmm, I need to be on the train from Peckham Rye at half four, I had thought we'd be back in time but that now looks unlikely.
I may have to bail on this and go and do some laps of Richmond park tomorrow morning instead.
-
• #238
Dammit, the total riding will be 2-3hours.... no more
-
• #239
Yeah- but if we say 3 hours starting from half 11 then we'll be back at Waterloo at half four- when I need to be showered and changed and on a train to Eastbourne.
-
• #240
Hmmmm I might jump on at Raynes Park, I'll have a think. What's the route?
-
• #241
The Widowmaker (TNRC)
-
• #242
Widownmaker ... I am scared ... I hope I won't hold you people back massively, speed wise?
Anyway, we're all meeting for the groupsaver? Where exactly in Waterloo?
-
• #243
Right I'm in unless the weather is shocking! As for the widowmaker, it is nasty but it's quite short, there is no shame in walking up some of it (especially if fixed). I'll jump on the train at Raynes Park, if I don't get the right carriage I'll see you guys at Effingham Junction!
