  • did you manage to blag a spokecard from them?

Unfortunately "ntsmntnrcbwdrosawutnrcr" is a typographical nightmare on A6. Sigh.

Really glad I made today. I'll be honest - the alarm clock went off and there was a hungover sense of dread. It took a lot of effort to get out of bed and get them bibs on (sorry again for being lates peeps) but it was deffo worth it. A lovely ride with good peoples. And a bit of sunshine to boot! Awesomez.

  • i'm disappointed andy p.

  • respect.

  • ^ next sunday you should honor us.......

  • ^or perhaps 'u' :p

  • What exactly are people's issues with others going on fun rides?

    Mine is jealousy. sigh

    +1

(And damnit - I slept in way too late).

  • Nice one you all, more fun, laughter frolicks and deep panting I say, its great to just get out there and roll.

  • I did brake my carbon fibre bottle cage (which is the cycling equivalent of breaking a fingernail!). :-)

Andy was it the bottom lip that stops the bottle falling through? I had 3 of these fail on different makes but only on the cage attached to the seat post tube using a 750ml bottle, the downtube cage was always fine, but you cant mix and match now can you? So I give them a wide berth now.

  • Thanks to konijn for organising and getting me out to cafe st germain which seems like a marvellous spot to start/end a ride. My RP days might well and truly be over.
And to Jaygee et al or waiting for me at the junction I missed but the descent and climb back up were well worth it.
And andyp for the line down that 25% bit (36.2 mph woot!)

Now I know CP actually is only 25 mins from my house and have a BC silver membership I'm going to have to have a go at one of those Tuesday nights too I reckon ;)...

  • We did see andyp and a badger. But one of them was dead. And a bit smelly.

I was out in the Herts and Essex lanes this morning and came across a gaggle? of wild Turkeys on the edge of the forerst, still doesnt beat badgers but still...

Steve it is so different cruising those lanes at night, it would be an honour to ride them with you, come on make it soon?

Oooh, is Hampstead Heath out of fashion now? ;)

  • ^or perhaps 'u' :p

'u' which is me is also us...well it depends on where or when....

  • On my honour, I'm no racist, hun*.

    *honey - term of affection

  • @ shootthescent

Just for the record, actually I did it.... in Condor, in sale, an xl.... now we have the same rock&roll!

Be prepared man, be prepared..... aerodynamic is everything!

  • ^ next sunday you should honor us.......

busy finding new routes or checking old ones out in daylight for holes and roadworks. will be out with you guys on a sat or sun soon though. great to see people out there. would be good to do the tnrc routes for familiarity and reports on road conditions.

It was exactly there with a 750 ml bottle but on the downtube. I think it was user error though, that bottle, which is new, is a bugger to get in so I gave it quite a shove.

  • I was determined to make this my first ever ride with people off of this forum, particularly as CP is my neck of the woods and this is a familiar route.

Alas, man flu and losing an hour's sleep fucked it all up for me.

    Next time gadgets.

  • @dommyracer: I feel your pain. I had the same and missed the start of summertime audax.

When's the next one then? I am keen to take part as well.

  • This Sunday. Surrey Hills. :)

  • **tnrc-Nursery 2010-04-04 Surrey Fucking Around 10AM Waterloo Station**

A 30 miler of hilly riding with several beautiful descents, it's only about riding, friendship, piss-taking, lunch and pint at the end, and; of course blood coughing!
We will regroup at junctions and no one will be abandoned.

I guess all of you know the rest, if not, we don't really give a damn, but you can still make questions!

    P.S. Every fourteen.... L's & G's

    1. damo
    2. marcom
    3. wools
    4. Dammit (and his crystal clear enunciation)
    5. jaygee (for stamina)
