thank yoy for the reply will we be eating at the cafe first or just meeting there?

  • just meeting there

  • just meeting there

ahhhh okok i really appreciate your fast response! also wondering, i have nothing against them but are helmets a must in this ride? hope you enjoying your breakfast

  • up to you (you're lucky that I am not mindful this morning and running around like a lunatic).

  • About to chug breakfast down, see you there!

  • What a pleasant surprise it was running in to you all (twice!). Nice to see you all enjoying your ride, apologies for dashing off without saying goodbye but had childcare duties to perform.

  • did you manage to blag a spokecard from them?

  • We did see andyp and a badger. But one of them was dead. And a bit smelly.

  • do we need a badger down thread?

  • 0 punctures
    0 mechanicals
0 wrong turns (excluding Steve putting in an extra hill, but we can blame the andyp pied pipper effect there)

Naysayers can f*ck the actual off! :) We might not have set a blistering pace out there, but we rode decently as a bunch, looked out for each other, and had a laugh. Which was the whole point really.

  • Rides that are enjoyable? You're supposed to bury yourself in training so that you have to be cut off your bike. What's the world coming to?

You will never wear Rapha clothing with any dignity. ;)

  • That was fun. Thank you.

  • jay you made ti!! with the time change it was really early...

  • That's because I am the alarm clock!

That was fun and beautiful countryside, will definitely do that ride again. Thanks guys.

  • a couple of pics

thanks konijn for sorting this. glad that it all went well. that's 2 out of 2.
    still no badgers though.

roll on next week for marco's surrey hill exploration.

and i agree, can the naysayers fuck off now.

  • (I love the tags)

  • What exactly are people's issues with others going on fun rides?

    Mine is jealousy. sigh

  • I love that photo of dropout holding his grandad bar bike up, bring a tent ftw!

I did brake my carbon fibre bottle cage (which is the cycling equivalent of breaking a fingernail!). :-)

I plead not guilty to being the pied pieper (a joke for the roadies there) as Steve was ahead of me and Jaygee and hurtled straight past the turning.

  • carbon fibre bottle cage?

    was it nice, but pricey?

  • I picked some up for cheap in a bike shop closing down sale a few years back, so not that pricey.
