Haha, is the recommendation actually legit? A friend told me about it
-

You don't think you'll ever love it as much as you do an optical one, and then you do.
Pretty much what I was thinking. Also it's half the weight. I like that.

Think i've overdone the 'Grain'

Nope. It looks pretty damn good to me.

Very nice image, but from a technical point of view there's no way a grain that coarse would ever yield such a detailed photograph.
The grain is also considerably less sharp than the image itself, which gives it away as PP rather than a good neg scan.
Purism aside, I do like it though. -

Cheers, Thanks for the comments guys!

i've heard that about Parr too, my uncle used to a bit of work with him, apparently he once told him to call him back later because he was eating a yoghurt.
that's fucking class. one day i'm gonna do that

Regarding the Martin Parr thing, here's the recommendation, if you can be arsed to read it.
Parr socialises on Flickr?
Dead to me.

Had some fun cycling around wanstead park with the girlfriend who was on a search for violets (she found none...)
Really nice place, feel like you're in the countryside after only about 10mins cycle from gritty Stratford. The only giveaways are the pylons in the background and sound of police in the distance.
I was about to take the picture below when a dog walker enters the frame walking up towards the house with the dogs. Felt it added nicely to the picture.

The forum friendly downsized photos make me sad :(
-
• #6490
Well then link them to huge ass versions?

So Flickr has effectively told me to fuck off by soon requiring a Yahoo! account for sign in. I just want a platform for sharing pics with family and friends, so what shall it be, Picasa?
-
• #6492
I use tumblr sometimes and it's a nice way to display them without making them all compressed.
-
• #6493
Thanks, I'll look into it.

..fate of having to have a yahoo-account may overtake tumblr-users as well (as yahoo have bought tumblr), but in the meantime it's what I use, too.

HA! Jo Paul Wallace entered it. Disgustingly talented. Not sure they're the best shots though.

I'm pretty sure Flickr gave me some sort of ymail account when I set up my Flickr Pro membership years ago. Have never sent or received email from that address, but if it's required for login only then I already have it. Would assume other Pro users do too.
Bit stupid of them to limit the service in that way though, signing in through Gmail or FB is fine, shirley. -

Pro r not us, I want free.
ah right okay I see. I like taking pics but don't know much about cameras, hence you had me wondering.
