  • helpful when one wants to race one's horse rather than these newfangled bicycle machines.

  • Best of both worlds:

  • Awww, you looked cute with curly hair, Bmmmmf.

  • Was an awesome session this sunday.... thanks JC

  • Finally get out to a Sunday session to find after the warm up it's a full on 2.5h hour Madison only training session. Which I have no interest in doing.

Check the HH website to see I've missed the special sessions announcement but 4 weeks in a row dedicated to one event is a bit of overkill isn't it? When others don't get one?

And not a sniff of match sprinting today either.

  • ahh Madison. Yes I must get down for some of this if I hope to partner someone in the league!
I felt very odd yesterday, I am certain I was having some sort of reaction to this bite. My leg has gone down a bit now and I can walk again so back to the track tomorrow hopefuly

  • yo. I would quite like to come along once I have my new bike finished, my current one is a piece of shit. I have heard you need to attend an induction, could you guys shed some info on this. cheers.

  • If you check out the training section of the herne hill website all the details are there. Beginner inductions and sessions are on Saturday mornings. The Sunday session are for experienced riders and are more difficult

  • definately start in the saturday sessions, even if you are super fit, just to get used to riding in such a toight group at speed, the induction is good, but it is no substitute for experience.

The induction is at around 11.45 on a saturday, and is followed by a novice training session, the step up to the intermediate group on saturday mornings isnt huge so should be possible to do after a few beginner sessions.

  • Also the intermediate group training sessions (10am till about 11.45) on Saturdays are quiet challenging. The warm down race last saturday was as fast a scratch B race in Wednesday nights league.

  • Thanks people. Will try get myself down on a saturday soon, looking forward to it!

  • Definitely pulled/torn a hamstring on Wednesday night. Not sure how, but my right leg is very painful and I have been limping since then. Cant do tomorrow as I don't want to aggravate anything. Means I won't be able to do the Madison on Wednesday though as I haven't trained for it.
    :(

  • :(

    heal up quick Mike!

(preferably by the 31st July ;))

  • ^
so you can drop rob in the team sprint!

    hope you feel better

  • I hope he doesn't drop me, we'll be disqualified

  • Right then, early start, here I come.

  • Ride safely. We can't have any more ambulances at Herne Hill this summer.

  • My shoulder still hurts too much and I cant look over it properly so think I need a couple more days rest :(

    have fun in the sun

  • Good fun that. Shame I don't have the legs for it any more :(

  • It was a particularly good session, I went fastest than I have all season and didn't feel too tired afterwards (although I'm wasted today after a marathon of coaching in a primary school far, far away).

Your speed will fly back Guy, remember you only need gas for 250m

  • Really looking forward to getting back on the track tomorrow :)

  • Guy, if you are coming tomorrow can you bring that tool to cut my steerer tube down with please.
Also, will I need somehting to remove the old star nut and fit a new one?

  • Just push the star nut in further

  • Is there anyone going tomorrow who could bring a hacksaw and help me remove a few inches from my steerer tube?

  • Yesterdays team pursuit training went pretty well with myself, Tom B and Sean forming 3 of the 4 needed for the league team on Wednesday night.
Who else wants to do the team pursuit?
