  • Ok then, is a bit macabre, but liked this spot, and one of those that's surprising to not have been done.

  • Old: Cholmeley Lodge, Cholmeley Park. Including a pink plague for Barbara Castle.

  • A pink plague sounds rather fun.

  • New: Hope to have a pint here one day

  • That links to Oat's recent post doesn't it?

  • Is it safe to go there when the R is so high?

  • Is it? I was just being me...

  • Ha, completely unintentionally linked to Oat's, but yes there is a link! Was meaning to have read up on his having seen it by chance on a long ride with the gf on Friday.
New does also have tide issues, ie life threatening when high.

  • Cholmeley Lodge is by the same architect, Guy Morgan, as Florin Court.

  • Would have been a crime not to claim it after heading out today.

  • If you'd asked me to put money on who would go out to ride his bike today, I would have said Ruserius.

  • And I can't say I've ever noticed Cholmeley Lodge before despite riding past it loads of times, can't think why. :)

  • It actually wasn't too bad out last night, quite pleasant really! Wind died downa bit, pretty much stopped snowing and I stuck to main roads which were quiet. Had a nice experience when fixing the puncture. Guy in a car stopped to check on me and offered a spare inner tube, was almost insistent that I take it.

  • Old:
Noose on Thames shore, Pelican Stairs, Wapping Wall.

Apparently the ‘Hanging Judge’ who sentenced the miscreants hanged here liked to sit in the pub to watch the executions. Nice.

  • Pacifists faced a military kangaroo court, for refusing the call-up during the First World War, in this civic building.

  • Loved riding snow tyres today! Actually not enough snow, so much gritting been done.

  • Damn, tagzumped!
Agreed on the snow - had a lovely couple of quiet snowy commutes last few days

  • Like the sideways snow captured your foreshore pic, great snow tyre tagging conditions!

  • I sat on the steps for a while wondering if some other brave soul might be on their way...

@Ruserius Hah yeah it was quite breezy down there!

  • PS
If my location has been tagged before, your follow up might be in play, I’m not sure if it has. If only there was some kind of map of previous tags ...

  • According to the map it hasn't been tagged before. The general area is pretty empty in terms of previous tags as well. Though you did tag the bridge down the road at some point apparently.
