  • Cannot find anything called Cricketing Lane on Google maps - at least not in London.

  • Probably referring to Cricketfield Road, which logically that should be, but it's actually Downs Road.

  • yup edited for clarity.

  • Literally next to the tag.

Lovely New, I would encourage whoever gets the new to continue the theme as I'd like to see some more things similar

    This .
    Loving the modernist stuff.
There's a wealth of it around.
    I'd welcome more of it.

  • A bit more on the old:

"While Poirot was set in the 1930s, the designers for the long-running ITV series tried to avoid delivering a kitsche Art-Deco celebration. The producers, led by Brian Eastman were true to spirit of the more important International Moderne. In a recent Guardian article, Eastman said "..the TV set was 30s 'moderne', not actually Art Deco, because Agatha Christie had explained in a profile of Poirot that Art Deco was too flamboyant for him"

  • Only saw the chat about the recent themes when I got back from a 44km round trip, including puncture half way, to the old and non modernist new tag. What to do? I can leave it open a while for someone to continue the current train of thought. I'll give it a day

  • I say well done for going out in this weather and please post your tag. Themes can be picked up again subsequently.

  • Ditto. Excellent effort riding out in this weather.
