WHen I first heard I thought it was steve too.

Who is to say who deserves more or less attention after their death? If people think it's a big deal let them. He was very revered for what he did and he seemed a genuine, and down to earth figure in a world where this is perhaps in short supply.

As for marxism being an epic fail...yes and no....The ediface called the USSR failed and China is more interested in out capitalising the west and as for North Korea they are stuck in a Stalinist time loop but these are weak approximations of marxism. Marxism need to do better and avoid concentration on theory and how to ake it work in practice and there is *some *evidence of that on Cuba.

However marxism has become a wonderful way of explaining our economic world and the mechanisms of captialism...another epic fail perhaps.

As far as Marxism is concerned the game is not yet over....we shall have to wait and see
