You're a very, very strange little fella aren't you? You're last few posts have revealed a damn sight more about your mindset than my domestic situation...
Whatatosser...
yeah but I don't PM people asking for them to edit their posts as my wife will be reading them.
Maybe Mrs Platini really does think you are.

Neither do I, you weird twat. You dissed my wife in a thread a week or so ago. I objected to it and you deleted it.
Don't know why you bothered judging by what you are posting tonight. I can only assume that you are drunk or stoned... -

Errrgh, it's quite freezing outside tonight.

ha ha Platini but you did just a few months ago, please don't use vulgarism's as I will have to tell your wife how naughty you are ;p

Apostrophe alert.

In my opinion this thread is just going to a discussion that is nothing to do with the original post. I would like to see some dignity and respect for a fellow human being. If you have nothing good to say, don't say anything.
The guy was troubled by his demons that he could not continue with his life.

I'm sorry, Platini, I've looked over the last couple of posts, but I'm afraid I don't get the reference of this. Do edit. :)

Caught this on CNN last night.
Lady Gaga was being interveiwed on the subject. I could'nt quite decide wether her/him not appearing to be wearing anything from the waist down, was out of respect, or very disrespectable.

Your dissertation must have looked like the epic of king gesar with all those dots.
You do have a problem.....disagree about what i say is no problem.....if you can...with evidence but snide comments are to say the least rather weak....King Gesar is a fiction...the 55,000 are documented. You misunderstand sincerity because you have none.
Discuss then issues...if you can.....your approach is form over substance.....mine is the opposite.

There is some truth in what you say.....but also speak truth of the dead....and if we value free speech.....we can be allowed to express ourselves even if others disagree....as long as it is principled......laughing at his death would lack a sense of decency but questioning his importance is another. I neither mourn or miss him and i have given my reasons above others do and given theres. I respect their opinions but disagree with them.....as Voltaire said 'I disagree with what you say but defend your right to say it'......As it should ever be.
Some of these posts are becoming increasingly personal and that is not right....argue on the issues.....disagree passionately but not make things personal.....Salmo et al....please take note...stick to the issues!

apparently his mum died last week. ;-(
She died a few years ago...it was his 'mentor' who died last week.

Platini, you should know when to drop it. lpg has it spot on, you were trolling and having fun and whilst you did manage to hook a few you can't then report them for their response when it's a direct result of your baiting in the first place.
If the Pistanator episode didn't get the message through loudly and clearly, I really am not comfortable with watching someone get bitter and twisted, carrying a chip on their shoulder and going off on a constant trolling exercise. If you feel the need for anger management classes or whatever, then take my advice and make the first thing you do to be stepping away from the keyboard. This is hopefully the only warning of this that I need to give... I don't want to discover later that it's actually the first of many warnings on the path to getting your arse kicked, so count-to-ten, breathe deeply, put the person who you're trolling on ignore and visit another thread.

Since when are threads supposed to be awarded on particular merit? I wouldn't have started a separate thread on this, but the OP clearly felt that way, and while I'm sure we all know about threads on the forum that we don't like or that we think are pointless, we'll just have to allow some leeway (NO pun intended!) on this.
I don't know anything about fashion and certainly never paid any attention to Mr McQueen. Neither do I have any idea in what way he was culturally significant and wouldn't be able to tell any of his work from stuff in the charity shops, but I have heroes who aren't so popular as to have achieved the kind of universal recognition that might make a separate thread, or several, inevitable. Unfortunately, celebrities' deaths will of course always attract so much more attention than those of less popular people that it may seem unjust and can be upsetting. I rather like the Guardian's 'Other Lives' column for that reason.
I still think it's a sad story about which more might come out, and besides the expressions of sympathy no doubt a lot of muck-raking, too, which I'm not looking forward to. Besides the evident and slightly trivial, but often forgotten, fact that money and fame don't make people happy, there's always that he doesn't seem to have had anyone left to turn to--I'll never forget the expression on an African friend's face when he was reading the newspaper and could quite genuinely not comprehend that someone young, I forget who it was, had committed suicide. No doubt this situation in his part of Africa will have changed quite considerably in the intervening years, but to him at the time it was just inconceivable that the people around that person couldn't have prevented the suicide. He might have been rather naïve in this, but he was sincerely shocked.
I totally agree :)

I stand corrected then but that was how it was stated on the BBC news yesterday as otherwise i would not have known one from the other.

Marxist Fixie, I'm assuming that the thread you started about London Grrl was a thinly veiled pastiche of this thread? Quite amusing, but I agree with Oliver, can we really start drawing lines about how worthy someone is before they have earned the right to command a thread title?
Not guilty...no pastiche of this or any thread.....just wanted to know if she is ok.....pm sent to clarify......If there is an irony here...I have missed it

I think i have been quoted somewhat out of context or misquoted....as i do not advocate banning someone for free speech just yet!
