^ ditto.
My least favourite junction driver are the ones that appear to be waiting patiently for you to pass and then decide at the last minute that you're taking too long and pull out right in front of you forcing you to brake hard/swerve.

Yup, sounds like a decent driver to me.

I don't get it, it's a lot easier to accidentally indicate in a car than on a bike, the driver must reckon I'm unreliable and when I stick my arm out horizontally I'm just being absent minded. God bless 'em, obv, but it's puzzling.

I'd wait because I wouldn't assume they're indicating to turn before me into the road. They may be indicating to turn into a driveway (or even just pull over) shortly after the junction.

Yep, a signal is not the only way to judge if people are turning, speed and positioning also play a part. Were you on a sweet fixeh? If so maybe you continuing to pedal made them reconsider pulling out, better safe than sorry mate I didn't see you.

Pesky fixed gear bikes how are drivers expected to know when you keep peddling all the time
-

They should be banned, stupid idea anyway.

Driver got a caution:

Not my clip. A caution seems a bit pathetic, IMO.

Driver of the Ford Focus NY08 HNF along Park Rd going into Crouch End this morning. You sir are a prick, driving your car at someone does not make you a big man.

A productive call to 101.
Builders van parked in a kerb at 9:30am. Only one guy in the car sat behind the wheel drinking a can of beer. I call 101, give his licence plate to the plod, they go look for him and circulate his license plate to patrol cars. Simples. -

Looking at Road Justice's website most reported incidents are from overtaking.
http://www.roadjustice.org.uk/report
Their stats say 2.7 reports per day of road incidents. Surprised it is so low. -

Got into an altercation just before I left London. Was riding west way towards Paddington area i think it was. There were roadworks in the left lane, so it pinched into one lane. I was late for meeting someone which meant I wasn't riding slowly.
Indicated, moved safely into primary. Minicab came screaming up behind me and proceeded to sit about a foot or two from my rear wheel (terrifying at 30mph) pulled left after the pinch point and after me flailing my hands in the air like a football player, he swerved at me, trying to intimidate me. Unfortunately my short fuse ran out and I punched the rear panel of the car... Cracked knuckle again and put a huuuuge dent in the vehicle. He then drove me off the road into the pavement. Thus resulting in me further losing my shit and us engaging in a physical confrontation. He backed off and called the police when he realised just how completely fuckerered off I was. Still no word from him or the police to pay for the damages. -

Boast post.

So Sven, you're a prick and you met a prick and that prick doesn't know where you are so plod can't bang both your heads together?
-
• #5368
You mean you ran into the back of his car when he swerved in front and slammed the brakes on...
Be very careful with what you say to the police. Talk to them only through a legal representative.

Except that one of them was in charge of 2 tonnes of fast moving steel, in a way that can and does kill and mutilate.
Have some perspective - Your comment is idiotic.

@Wrongcog I know I am a massive foaming an the mouth arrogant prick (many on here can vouch for that). Especially when my safety is concerned.
@TW you are very right there. But it was more a "knock with the old hand to let him know I was there".
They have my details but I'm not in the country anymore. -

They have my details but I'm not in the country anymore.
Safety reasons?

It's a thread for reporting dangerous drivers, not dangerous drivers reporting cyclists riding in primary pissing them off!
-
• #5373
threatening someone with a car is not that far removed from waving a knife in someones face. you have every right to defend yourself and kick off as you see fit.
-
• #5374
Big metal weapons aside - the post led to what was basically a scrap right? You're right though TW my comment was a little idiotic.
I dunno - I just think that once two people are smacking each other or each other's vehicles it's all gone a a bit far.
Antagonistic comments from me though and probably out of context. Apologies to Sven.

each time there was a pause in traffic movement. she only stopped and focussed on what was happening around her because i took a picture of her and the car registration plate. was it harassment?

Sounds like the driver was just being careful. As my driving instructor used to say, just because somebody's indicating doesn't necessarily mean they're going to turn, or even turn where you think they're going to turn.
I'd rather have a million drivers wait needlessly when I'm indicating than have a handful pull out on me when I'm not (though the latter is obviously what I always get, fuckers)
