Just reported a driver who tried to squeeze me into a stationary cab (that had stopped in the cycle lane...) - He got really cross because I knocked my fingers on his Ford Fiesta to tell him to stop (which is a bit ironic as a few seconds before his driving, would have had me splashed all over his car). He stopped and shouted at me for touching "MY car!" and that if I was going to do it again he was going to hit me, he dared me to do it again. I didn't say anything, I wanted him to go away and could tell that he was keen to get out and hit me and he spat at me and left. I overtook him, took note of his number, he overtook me and shouted some more. I was glad not to see him again on my way home.

It's a classic gambit that. "Don't touch my car... go on then do it again, go on!"
This sets up the win in their eyes when you don't oblige.
The correct response is "Look, do you want me to touch you car or not, make your mind up."
They want to shout you into submission, just respond reasonably to their absurd requests and they will give up or dig further.

ha!
I thought that a guy, in his early 30s, daring a woman in her 40s to a fight was wonderful.

^ What happened next? Was your daughter in the trailer at the time?!
Let's say she didn't care whether there was a child in the trailer or not.
Reported the matter to police. If I don't hear from them within a week there will be shattered glass somewhere on the road. -

What a prat (I'm being restrained here). Glad you weren't hurt. Well done for keeping your cool and getting his reg number. -

Don't lower yourself to that, at least not publicly! -

I reported a large White Conway truck with the Conway in green lettering on Thursday.
There is 800yards of a narrow lane before a bit of dual carriageway, he waited patiently behind me then with only thirty yards left he overtook and pulled in on me.
Forced me to stop and climb up the kerb to avoid going under the wheels.
Only got a partial plate as it was dirty.Has anybody EVER been contacted after reporting incidents on their site?

Sounds terrifying... I haven't had dealings with Conway, but I contacted another haulage company numerous times over their appalling drivers... totally ignored until I reported them to Roadsafe as well.. Was then contacted by their legal department and directors, who seemed to listen. Massive improvement in their behaviour since.

Conway drivers are fucking insane.

Interestingly Conway were one of the first companies to trial the on bike cycle awareness training from their depot on York Way. Their manager seemed keen. Worth asking them if any driver who messes with you has taken the "Safe urban driving" CPC course.

My experience of them were early 2011 when there was a large construction going on near Wandsworth, and they were terrifying.
I'm glad they did but the same goes to Addison lee whom claim such thing, obviously early day for them though.

I came on here to have a moan about some numpty driver flicking his cigarette ash in my face today but then I saw your post Fixedwheelnut.
Glad to hear you are OK. Where did this happen?

@Missmouse google map http://goo.gl/maps/B55v travelling South West just before the roundabout.
South East drivers are nutters and I usually give as good as I get but that did shit me up a bit, adrenaline rush mean't I got to work early though.

I fucking hate cycling in South London, so many drivers are utter cunts down there and get all gangsta if you say anything about their dangerous driving
-
• #1698
Like last weekend?
"You got sumting to say bled?"
"Yeah, you drive like a dick"
"What bled, you got somethin to say?"

South of the river you say? Kew did seem pretty gangster, don't fancy venturing any further than that....
i sincerely doubt he got out of the car and announced he was an idiot. did he look humbled by the experience or angry?
